I was the video editor for this gag reel. I'm so happy to see so many people enjoyed watching this! So many gag reels become less funny when editors throw in fast or corny music, sprinkling in those typical "beep beep" cuts after a mistake. Thanks to a trusting producer, and the studio providing all the blooper footage, I was able to cut this gag reel differently. One comedy technique I used here was contrast - from serious, to funny. Look at the opening - I used intense music as if we're watching the real episode, and then the door accidentally slams and the music cuts out - it accentuates the actors expression of shock and humorous response. I use this kind of humor throughout the gag reel. Sometimes an editor needs to step aside and let the actors roll - there's a section where Kristen and Jay are clearly tired and trying to make it through the scene - Kristen trying to hold in her laugh - I used subtle cuts so as not to take you out of the moment and placed less distracting orchestra music to complement the humor and thread those cuts together. It's these humorous moments that fans want to see... where the actor breaks out of character. It was a fun reel to edit and I hope people can watch over and over and still break out in laughter. Jay and Kristin have such great chemistry! This gag reel makes me laugh every time I see it. The part about Vincent explaining to Cat why he took the pill and Jay is like "I took it because...uh.." it's sooo cute the way Kristin laughs and almost touches his face. These two are adorable!

Ok Jay & Ryan are a perfect match, Austin & Nina are unsurprisingly funny but Sendhil really surprised me with his sense of humour. May I say, I am SOOO glad that he's part of the main cast now!
Usually people with accents break their American accent when they mess up or not acting, like Ed Westwick. I CANNOT hear Jay's accent! :) it made me doubt whether or not he is Australian. LOL
There used to be a cartoon many years ago called Catch the pidgeon (think thats what it was) and there was a character in it called Mutley who was a dog, Mutley's laugh is pretty much how Kristen sounds when she laughs.
