I'm a Christian and I love this version and I have enjoyed many of their 'non-Christian" tunes too.

Regardless of satire or not, this music has a lot of meaning for a lot of folks, just as Bad Religion and their music has and I think it's great that we're all here enjoying it on multiple levels.

I love how he loves Christmas and growing up he said these songs were his favorite to sing during Christmas. He may not be Christian but he doesn't dumb down religion like most atheists I've met do. I respect him for that. This guy is awesome. He will debate in a respective way over religion with you. That takes humility, honor and respect to not get so easily offended like everyone else does. Because honestly there is no reason to get offended over what someone else believes its there walk and journey not yours. 😊

Honestly a lot of his interviews and articles online really helped me realize that. Although my views as an atheist are different from those that are religious, still should always be respectful

As long as you're not trampling others underfoot! :o But no one does that over Christmas. That's Black Friday. :P

Fair enough man! Very good! If i may ask, what is your reason of siding with atheism?

good comment. both atheist (claiming that it's hypocrite for Bad Religion to make money with christian songs) and christian (finding this album offensive because it "mocks"(?) christian music) commentators should really learn a thing or two from a person like Greg Graffin. My opinion is that Greg, despite a heavy scientific background, is a kind of person with an open mind who will accept and maybe even respect certain environments of people with a different view than his, as long as they don't tend to behaviors that are detrimental to society. For example, you can enjoy and respect the passion and melody in certain christian music without being a christian at all. That is called having an open mind and it certainly helps people to enjoy life in its entirety

The people who wrote these songs did a pretty good job, since they can be redone in modern times and still hold up.

I was surprised to hear this in 4/4 since I've only ever heard this song played in 3/4, but I love your rendition. amazing

I think this is my favourite off the album, it could almost be a BR original

I think Bad Religion made this as a joke but the joke was "haha, isn't it funny that we of all people are making this album" and not a joke at the expensive of anyone who would enjoy this music. And for a joke, this whole album is a banger and I listen to it every year (and a lot throughout the year).

my first BR show was actually a radio xmas concert, days after their STF tour date in 1994. anyway, they played 3 or 4 xmas songs, so this doesn't surprise me a all, 19 years later :)

Bad Religion inspired me to create a non profit organization in Brazil for science, skepticism, atheism and separation of state and church after attending to a show in 1998. I've been on all their shows here in Brazil since then. And you, Mr. Brett, haven't come in not a single one of them :/ C'mon, redeem yourself! I'll wait for you on the next...

Great album, and I love the "New Shoes" picture from the cover. Heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
It sure puts things in perspective.

I think the fact that the last track is a remixed American Jesus speaks volumes.

God uses the most unlikely instruments to carry out His work of salvation. I've always loved Bad Religion for their music, especially the lyrics. But this album stroke me in a completely new way. When I first heard it, I felt I was facing something really big and true. This experience made me open my heart to the power and grace of God in my life. Today I can see that my life has a meaning. There's a reason for me to wake up every day, and this reason is Christ. Thank you, Bad Religion, for this gift. May it help lead many other souls to God, especially the band members. I will remember to pray for you always. May God bless you 🙏

I dunno about that. God's Love, Atheist Peace, Epiphany, etc... have pretty clear anti-religious/superstition messages. I'm not how you can interpret any of those songs as being pro-faith.

People really don't understand irony anymore. It makes me sad. Because, dry humor and irony are the bedrock of good comedy. Well played, Bad Religion.

@@JoeC92 That's what a christian would do. Those priests are satanists. And these songs are heartful renditions of heartful songs. You can't deny the passion.

What Child is this who, laid to rest
    On Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
    While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
Haste, haste, to bring Him laud
The Babe, the Son of Mary
Why lies He in such mean estate
Where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christians, fear, for sinners here
    The silent Word is pleading
Nails, spear shall pierce Him through
The cross be borne for me, for you
    Hail, hail…
