Hey dag. You put in so much work in your videos. These videos have really helped me through the last year and I genuinely thank you for that. If you ever need to take a break, remember that most of your fan-base will be completely fine with that.
Dagerwin don't forget you have regular straw and hay bales that are in the shed next to the combine. They come with the map. Instead of using the expensive bales, Sir
Great series Daggerwin. Props to the guys working on Straw Me. I had an issue with the straw not loading into a trailer from a bucket. I contacted the Straw Me facebook page to see if it was a bug in my game or if the functionality was not available. They got onto it straight away and had extra functionality programmed into the mod within days. Those Guys (Or that guy, not sure) at Michigan Gaming and Outdoors are really on it.
I don’t think leasing a trailer is unrealistic. I think buying one just to move a few pigs is not something anyone would do. I’m not complaining just tossing out my 2 cents. 😄
The old pin was an open pin and the pigs stay, I would've just said you used feed and got them to follow to the other pin as they are clearly tame and food motivated
I understand that not using rentals is good for increasing the challenge of the game, but it bothers me to say it is realistic. Renting equipment and land is a major component of the farming industry, at least in the U.S. Renting allows farmers to expand to the point where they can purchase, manage soil health through a wider variety of crop rotations, and continue productivity despite breakdowns. Just to name a few reasons. I don’t say this to detract from all of your hard work and entertaining content. This is at an unfortunate confluence of gaming and the profession that game is trying to represent. Something to consider and again thank you so much for what you do for us on a daily basis.
Agreed, I must admit whilst none of it spectacularly triggers me and I'm always going to keep watching, being able to lift a (full grown) tree with bare hands, and a shop selling you a brand spanking trailer to buy it back half an hour later both seem a little more far fetched.
Brilliant video and brilliant series, Dag. I noticed you are getting a few vehicles now and having to tab through them all to find the one you need. Have you tried Park Vehicle mod? You can turn off tabbing through vehicles you don't need, such as the Ferguson tractor on the rock, or your harvesters for most of the year. It's simple and really easy, but saves lots of frustration when you have loads of vehicles.
20:20 Didn't you mean Chellington Valley? Also, repairing vehicles doesn't change their configurations. That JD was left as it was, it reverted to basic the moment you've clicked on the "Customize" tab.
Repairing vehicle does reset the customisation for some mods, I don’t know why but it does, I think he did mean chellington as his Sandy bay series was about a year ago 😂
@@jamesironside7819 Yeah, but even so, if you look out of the workshop window, you could see the tractor still had the front 3 point linkage, as soon as he hit customize it was gone. So in this case it didn't reset it. I didn't know it would do it for some mods though, thanks :)
150 pigs sounds like a good upgrade. Any less would just not make any sense. Shredding canola straw for bedding on the other hand, doesn't make any sense. That's like paying triple for the bedding, when you consider the price you get for that compared to regular straw.
Great video Sir. Nice to dee your progress here. I think 150 is fine for that enclosure, but don't forget to transfer the slurry too. You can get a lot of use from that.
You should check out the obe spreader pack two of them are seeders with a 36m working with, broadcasting it like fertilizer the way was done before they invented the air seed drill, you could plant soya beans or sunflowers there bought in the pigs dietary requirements list, enjoying the series keep up the good work.😎😁👍🚜🌾
Enjoy the vids this series favorite by far... my only bit of input for realism would be that new pig enclosure or what ever honestly should have been built over where the first one is/was you never want that within sniffing distance of your house
You can always have your old pigsty for mother sow's, one boar and piglets up to 25kg, Daggerwin. For fattening use the new one. Total number you get from total indoor area for adult pigs incl fodder boots are 3 squaremeter/pig, if they also have free roaming outside. Growing small pigs up 10 - 130kg, area in strawed cubicle per animal = 0.20 + /weight in kg)/84! Simple in game and you really need an animal transport! ;D
I feel like 120 would be a good number to cap the new pig farm at as it would be a 33% increase so it would still be worth your money but not be too much of an increase as you did pay less for it than the 90 open pasture one
It's great that the canola straw bales work but aren't they worth quite a bit to sell? Surely you'd be better off selling them and planting either Wheat or Barley and getting the straw from that for the bedding.
Servicing doesn't change the configuration, it just reset to wear to 0. And the problem you have that some configurations reset when opening the them seams to be a known issue, sometimes it just resets it visually, you just need to cause a refresh with the configuration which is missing visually, and it brings that/those configuration appear again. They ARE STILL THERE when clicking acsept. Other configurations don't get saved as present when opening the workshop for vehicle you want. In those cases, it resets to the standard configuration for machine. You WILL NEED to choose the configurations you hade before again.
YES YES YES!!! Thank you daggerwin I have been waiting for you to do a pig serious this will be great and a nice change. Thank you for you content and keep up the great work. I appreciate you.
You can get Lemken solitaire 12 drill. It's require only 150hp. But it's not direct drill. Also. Other field should be a barley. You can feed it to pigs and give straw to the pigs. You forget to put digistate on field first.
Loving this series! Keep up the great work daggerwin! I just want to say, I feel like the rule for leasing should have been ignored for the animal trailer. It would have been more realistic to lease the trailer for the little bit it was used for than to buy it then sell it shortly after!
Yes but I think that rule could have been ignored in this scenario because it would have been more realistic to "rent" an animal trailer for a couple of hours instead of buy one to use for a couple of hours and then sell it
Daggerwin you should check out the new extra settings mod, you can do all sorts like remove the birds. You should also get the placeable forest. It plants smaller saplings in a small field and growth time is more realistic
You make a lot more money from pigs now because their price is static (as opposed to all other prices), not because this is a longer series. On the "hard" economy setting the sales price of a pig is the same as on 'easy", but all crops (=the feed) are worth way less so getting pigs makes sense.
He should get this tractor and rebuy the fiatagri 180. www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=187805&title=fs2019 Both are cheap yet have great horsepower and would be the only tractors needed on this farm
Hey they're is a sprayers that is 24 meters are only cost $35,000 and it's in the base game there is a planter cultivator fertilizer and it only cost about a hundred thousand and it's 9 meters but the horsepower requirement is like around 270 play tractor with about 260 is plenty for it
He should get the fiatagri 180 (peppe's version) back and buy the BlackSheep John deere 8760-8960. Those 2 tractors would be the perfect tractors for this series. Cheap, but high hp
hey dagger... i know this is late, but you do realize the point of having forks included with the bale shredder is so that you can leave the shredder at the pen and go back to get the bales... right? you don't have to take the shredder to the bale stack every time.
Noticed there is a lot of room in the part where you feed the pigs you could put the elevator you in set for the pit on their against the wall to keep it out of the way
I've watched the series from one to this one so far and since you got the pigs I've been waiting for you to realise you have wheat, corn and sunflower seeds to feed your pigs. Tell me please you realise before the end that you even added to all 3 at some point.
I'm a little confused, if you want to increase pig production, why would you not split your pigs between the two pens you already have. At least until you can afford another one. Wouldn't two medium size populations grow faster than one? Just say'n. Thanks Dagger.

Check your silo. I think you have crops in there that you can feed your pigs.

Daggerwin: now where is the cultivator? Somewhere.

200 pigs would be the most reasonable. Love the farm!!!!

I think the new size for the pig enclosure is fine, it's just that 25.000 is really cheap for space for 150 pigs. I should be way more if you ask me
eh.... not really. it's pretty cheap to set up a pig farm, aside from the pigs
cultivating that field would be much quicker with a bigger tractor (say 400hp+) but i know you like using your small stuff

I bet it would decrease the price but I haven't used it. I think it's just for variety
You should have duals on the rear of the John Deere at least... You're going for reality, duals give you more traction.
