My oldest loves all things dragon and almost never asks me to make them anything, you have made it so that I can finally make them and make my child giddy with happiness 😊
Just finished making a pair of these. I usually just work from a pattern, but I was so lost. Your video was incredibly helpful and I was able to follow along very easily; whipped them up in no time! Thank you so much for taking the time to make such a demonstrative video.
Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. Very clear and easy to follow. My 94 yr old Grandma absolutely loves them. She said her fingers are warm when she sleeps for the first time in years!
This is an awesome tutorial. Easy to follow and I managed it first try. Would love to see one with the flat palm. I feel like the less bulk will make them more practical for me.
I swear when you explained "the hook knows where to go" my brain went "omg shes the bob ross of crochet"..lol..I love it,thank you for sharing your talent
Your tutorial is perfectly clear and easy to follow especially for those of us who are dyslexic I could never follow a pattern my brain can’t deal with the letters and numbers. I do by following instructions and seeing. Thank you so much.
Thats interesting. My dyslexic brain likes the written patterns more lol. I almost always have to write my own pattern while watching videos like this for me to be able to make the project.
@@sydnicasanover dysgraphia it makes copying notes not so simple or easy dab in a bit of the number mix ups you know where you have all the correct numbers but they aren’t in the correct order… to be fair I like bookkeeping it’s a challenge to see if the totals balance.
What an awesome pattern! Thank you for sharing. I love these kinds of projects- they look so hard but are deceivingly easy. It makes me look like a magician. :)
What an amazing tutorial. Watching it at first, I thought I may not be able to do it, but once I started, it was such an easy flow because your teaching method is exceptional. I am really happy with what I achieved because of your great teaching skills. Thank you. Love from Melbourne❤
I looked at so many videos for this pattern and could not understand it. Thus video is the only one I could understand and with practice, finish. Thank you so much for creating this tutorial ❤
So awesome! I just started and grabbed a random skein to practice. Ended up looking like Rose. Used a 5.25mm on "normal" sized yarn. I'm a dude and it was kinda loose on me so gonna order smaller hooks.
Thank you for a gorgeous tutorial it’s awesome & fantabulous you have a beautiful voice and explain things so clearly and simply it is so much fun and such a terrific tutorial I really appreciate your kindness you are inspiring
Psychedelic Doilies Thank you for responding. I modified your pattern by chaining 20 and 4 rows of scales instead of 5. It worked well! I’d love to send you a pic.
@@mindythompson8980 I'd love for you to share in my Facebook group. There is a photo album for finished dragon gloves. facebook.com/groups/psychedelicdoiliesblog/
I love this tutorial! Thank you so much. The one thing is that the inside of the hand is most often just flat stitches (whatever stitch), otherwise it gets very bulky and you’ll have trouble grabbing things or the pattern gets stuck on something when inside the hand.
Here's a tip for the foundation row, in the one after the scale, put your finger in the hole and put your hook in if you can feel your hook then it's correct if your having trouble with not being Bob Ross of crochet
Just finished one glove. We will call it a practice glove as its pretty but a little roomy. Going to tighten my guage & start a new pair. Thank you for this easy & excellent tutorial!
I really love this tutorial! It's very thorough and clear to follow and understand. Now I have already pulled out 10 rows...🤣🤣 because I'm working on end of the 6th row ABOVE the thumb hole going into the 7th row. I had 10 more rows that I pulled out because I don't know what I'm doing wrong but my glove keeps growing and not getting thinner around my wrist and my forearm. I am more than happy to send pictures of three different angles of anyone is able to help me. I definitely want to finish this glove and do it right so I can make more in the future. Please help!
@@marinaevt3567 im sure i followed the instructions to the letter but found the arm bit was far too wide. im going to take back to where the granny part starts and go from a hook size 5 to a hook 4 and have my fingers crossed that this makes arm tighter. any suggestions welcomed. thankyou.
I have read all the comments to this video..all high praise! Would it be possible for you to do a tutorial without the scales on the palm area? I find it a little to bulky for my hands. I love your clear and decisive tutorial! I am a Newbie to your channel! With Love! Peace Out!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💛💛💛💛💛💛😍😍😍😍
I'm very much a beginner but I was able to follow this very well. I do have a question. Is there a way to modify it so the palms would be flatter (like all double crochet) and then the scales be on the backs of the hands? Like I said, I'm definitely a beginner and not quite sure how to modify it or if it can be done.
Other tutorials on the crocodile stitch aren't quite the same, but i love this pattern. Would anyone know what the stitch math for this is so it could be used for other patterns? I've seen some that say starting is 6 + 3 or 6 + 4, but they had two chains between V stitch and single dc. Or they didn't do V stitch. I'm bad at math 😅
So I bought the pattern for the flat palm version of this, but I am still super new to crochet pattern reading and it looks really foreign to me. I understood watching this tutorial way better. Is there anyway that you'd be willing to make a tutorial for the flat palm or at least the part that it differs?
Can I ask if there is a scale missing in row 15? Just before the thumb space before the 10 x db crochet theres a V stitch in the row below which looks like it needs a scale?
great tutorial I got 6 dragon scales on the 1st 5 rows but only 5 scales on the next 2 rows you mentioned 6 scales on the last row am I missing something
I added the chain one between the five and five on the scale as suggested, it does make them more pointy scales similar to others I’ve tried by Crystal on bag o day crochet. She has some with the scales only on the back which were great for me but OH wanted full scales this time x
Is the dragon scale part supposed to be confusing? I'm left handed and looking at it right handed might be throwing me off, any tips would be appreciated, love the pattern so far though, thanks!
Great pattern! But I must have very small hands bc these will fit a man. I only did 4 dragon scale rows and 8 granny stitch rows. It was almost to my elbow 😂. Maybe a smaller hook in the future.
Hey, I’m working a second pair with thinner yarn, already recalculated and did a scale more in the round, started with a chain of 28. But I can’t seem to figure out how to make a bigger thumbwhole to come out nice and big enough, I come out wrong every time and the glove still is to tight. Can you help me? Ty for the tutorial LOVE the Gloves
First off I like to say thank you for the stitch tutorial but the pattern needs lots of work. The first time I made a glove it was way too big for a "medium" I had to tweek it so much. I left out the chains in between the v and post stitch round (foundation) and it contours to the hand so much better. Unfortunately ripping out the pattern several times was really inconvenient especially with the fibrous yarn I'm using snags a lot when removing the work.
First off thanks for the pattern, really cute. I will agree with this person that it is not a medium size. My hands are large and it fits pretty good. Secondly it is not for any worst weighted yarn, hook and yarn must match. I made this not thinking I will have to modify for the opposite hand. I really shouldn't admit this found it funny. Anyhow lesson learned and had alot of funlearning the stitch. So not al lwas wasted. thanks.
I spent hours on this , it's so big !!!!! Used size needle you said . Not tight at all and is huge ! Help I have to tear it all out. It's like a huge mitt
Do you have the ability to do a tutorial of this with no scales on the palms? I want to make these to use at work during the winter but the scales on the palms make it hard to type... Any ideas?
I don’t know if this is on the pattern or not but I made the first clove and the thumb hole machetes with my right hand but not the left is there a way to fix that or is that just what happens?
I also noticed this. I thought maybe someone might have had the answer in the comments but they are meant to be for both hands .. but I am having the same issue. The area around the thumb seems to be only matched for the right
