I have no clue why, but “So, welcome to the precambrian” Is absolutely hilarious to me Jokes aside, i adore this series, inspired me to download this mod for myself, never knew such a cool mod existed. Its even better to hear an actual palaeontologist talking about the organisms, feel like im learning something new each episode
This is great. Once this is finished, you should make it a map, so we could get a closer look at this ourselves. I love the detail work you put into this!
Yep, so we're approaching the "season finale" as I like to think of it, in which we tie up the last loose ends. I will aim to find a way of sharing the map by then! - Jake
Ooh I really really like that! I've still not installed the Cambrian Explosion update they did a while back, but when I do I'll give that a go! I love this project, but I slightly regret separating the tanks taxonomically, as opposed to representing real fossil sites like the Burgess Shale, Mazon Creek, etc.!
I hope you make a back-up and dins a way that this can be shared so perhaps schools can bring kids in to tour the various animals from prehistoric time! :D
That would honestly be my dream, not only that but leading virtual fieldtrips into the different ears too! This mod would be ideal! The world will be put up for public download when this "season" ends in a few weeks, rest assured :) - Jake
I did a bit of research and found something neat. There’s a species of fish from the Silurian 423 million years ago which is called the mega fish by some. It’s called megamastax which lived in what would one day become China and was the largest fish up to that point. It was a meter long and a powerful predator of the Silurian oceans.
@@IC1101-Capinatator Off topic but you wanna bet any aquatic arthropods in the Devonian were like this?- Trilobite- AHHH! When did fish become so big and scary?!

Excellent Video! This is Most Awesome Mod!
It really is! - Jake
It's so well made! almost makes me want to revert back to 1.12.2, hopefully in the far future they continue this project and port it to 1.16.5 & 1.18!
Agreed, especially since lecterns would allow for a more detailed writeup on each of the creatures in this aquarium.

Have been enjoying this series!!!
Thank you so much!
Ok, so random idea I had: burgess shale tank, but shaped like a maple leaf... also, this is actually great(the video, I mean)
ok, on second thought, either a cave like thing, or a cozy mountain cabin would be better because mountains

It’s insane how ancient sea pens actually are. I remember mentioning that once when I saw one at the San Antonio Aquarium.

When you started talking about placoderms, I kept thinking about pachyderms and picturing elephants swimming
Now that would be a sight to behold! Fully aquatic elephants!
I mean, if moose can dive

fun fact: Megamastax is getting added to the mod!
