I was just about to make a comment about how death rattle turns old stats kentro into something that could take on cera but now it probably overshadows it with the dmg buff from rattle o-o
They nerfed its turning which imo would be balanced if it was tankier but its not. It was too strong before however on the other hand when it had both great hp and insane turning.

The thing that frustrates me in the conca/kent fights in particular is the insane difference in bleed values. Conca is applying a lot of bleed you your kent, averaging between 20-30 seconds. The kent was only applying 10-15 seconds, if that. For a creature with a fully dedicated bleed to damage build, its not doing a lot of bleed (i know thats just regular tail swings, but still, i feel like it should be doing more on those base swings). Conca could make a better use of detonate compared to kent.
@@rylan89 it can be more dangerous if it can actually stack it well. Since the changes after the patch, I'm not sure if it's bleed values were adjusted to be more but in the state shown in the video, running detonate would only add a very small sliver of damage. It wouldn't really be worth the tail slot.
@@TAGameplay I've seen it if the opponent had most of health dark red and the Kent or miragaia used it. It can take all that dark red health away. So the dino can not recover that portion of the health anymore
Yea I agree with ya it feels like they reduced kentros overall bleed since the normal tail attack deals about 10 seconds of bleed each hit, ik that the charged tail swing gives 20-25 seconds bleed each hit when it used to do more, and that's with the new max bleed damage build
@rylan89 from what I've tested playing kentro the only time where detonate was good was against things that have absolutely terrible bleed resistance (sarco, pachy, sucho, etc.) It's honestly better just running Tail attack and Tail swing
Yeah I saw someone in backer chat talking about Kentro being hot garbage, while everyone else was just saying no way, so I had to test it. Turns out it was Anyway the devs buffed kentro’s health 33%, as well as some turn radius and damage buffs. Kentro is fine now (yippee)
I doubt it. Unless it’s some crazy tail attack that adds 20 minutes of bleed or a call that removes cooldowns on attacks for 30 seconds minimum it won’t save Kentro.
The tlc for me has definitely been a mixed bag for me, Kent definitely could have done with more unique abilities (compared to mira) and the dino definitely feels awkward to use. I will say that the one thing that kinda makes Kent unique from mira is that its detonate is actually usable solo unlike Mira’s slow af constipation aoe. Also I saw the stat thing you pinned, so imma test how good Kent is now after this roller coaster of an update week.

The problem with Alderon is that they are trying to make slow creatures bleeders, where bleeding in this game requires you to be fast if you wanna deal damage with it, mainly. You simply cannot afford to trade hits to apply bleed on targets who deal more raw damage to you, since your bleed is dealing the same damage way slower, causing all bleeders in this game to become endurance fighters that can hit-and-run, kentro cannot be that endurance fighter, it takes 5 attacks from you to deal the same amount of damage to an enemy that can do it in 1 bite, so imagine having to trade hits with that said enemy every time you try to hit them, it's just not working out. And I'm talking about trading hits specifically because their stats suck, they turn wider than a boat, their speed is meh, so everything can tail nibble you till death. Same issue with Miragaia to be honest, I still think miras are way too squishy for their niche it's like trying to turn a spino into a dedicated bleeder, but keeping its speed the same, how well do you think spinos would fair against anything else that's the same size with it?
Yup - It really bothers me that camera angle is important in landing attacks now, but Precise Movement forces the camera forward and away from your tail 💀 Some fights go so fast, having to spend that extra second or two to re-adjust your camera angle can be costly/distraction - Kinda wish they'd left tail attacks alone tbh
Some attention-seeking clown told me that it is a "skill issue". But it IS a skill ISSUE: now you need MORE skill with kentro to do the same amount of damage (per time) than before. And you need more skill due to directional attacks as well as awkward camera, especially in confined spaces or when facing a group of enemies around you. Anyway, kentro is just a weird looking spiky dinosaur who is now less fun to play, more difficult to master, while having worse stats than before (slower, less agile). Why would I even want to learn to play this trash dinosaur? Styra will rip it apart, while being faster, more agile, easier to master, with actually "cool" attack like charge, and even looking overall aesthetically pleasing. Miragaia though is absolutely disgusting, I KOS them whenever I can.
I've been kicking butt with my Kentro, fought against a metri and a Rex and the metri got so messed up they ran, came back with a buddy on a raptor and it immediately died.
it has the same issue as mira, no point in using any other build that isnt the one that buffs itself only go death rattle, only go regular tail and heavy tail. Never go denoate youre trolling. Only go the blood sense that increases over all damage. Its too squishy, needs a little more speed, low bleed despite being a bleeder, its stam its saving grace same issue as before, gets replaced by some other dino doing the same job. Its the dino that also only benifits from team play. edit : WHY DOESNT KENTRO HAVE AN AOE TAIL SWING TO GUARD ITS FRONT LIKE MIRA, WHO IS USING A 180 TURN?? its not worth to run at all.

I genuinely miss double defense kentro (back before kentro was op and before it was nuked to the floor). Hopefully, the stat changes and this TLC will save the little honking hedgehog.
A sentiment a friend of mine shared is that kentro should either be faster or tankier and that's a sentiment I agree with. It needs to be tankier for sure, I'll settle with it being a bit slower if they would buff it's turn speed again. Even with the TLC, kentro just isn't fun to play
It’s hilarious that even with a 1.5x healing hide and a general-resistence-to-literally-every-status-effect-in-the-game hide, Kentro is STILL less op than when it had a 5% speed buff hide 😭😭😭

Haven’t watched the video atm I will soon but I’m not sure if you mentioned it but the devs said kentro will be getting a new machanic which has something to do with its tail spikes
So, while I personally don't think the tlc made Kent much bette, ( It's always struggled since the speed nerf. ) I think there is definitely some potential in it now. It's nice to have another herbi bleeder to pair with stego outside of Styra. The main issue I see is players not running away from fights. Like seriously, Kent is not a brawler. You have to apply some bleed and then escape. They outheal the crap out of everything now. 60% bonus healing is INSANE. To win fights you have to make your opponent chase you. Just like Mira, if they don't burst you down immediately you can escape and heal while they still have bleed and a slower heal rate. It's a battle of attrition. Not very exciting but that's just how to play to Kent's strengths.
Kent itself isn’t that bad currently it’s just its performance is dependent on what build your running. Also the part where you put “it’s not a skill issue” doesn’t really work when the conc was purposely biting the tip of your tail like how many do to stego so that conc is actually playing smart
In my opinion kentros tlc is just fine.. as long as it's better than it used to be. Sure, it could be better but I think it's a good step forward for kentro

All the so-called "TLC's" (whatever they even mean) are awful, disgusting even. It speaks of the different direction the developers are taking: from at least maintain a facade of semi-realistic dinosaurs, to straight up fantasy. Fantasy-oriented "roles", as if that should have anything to do with dinosaurs. Absurd fantasy or even modern-themed abilities like detonate. Detonate, really? Miragaia especially looks, behaves and even sounds egregious, artificial and amateur. Now, I have been playing the game for the last 2 years at the most, so perhaps this was always the intended direction. It just sucks for solo players or anyone looking for not-MMORPG type of a dinosaur game. As for Kentro, I haven't played it in quite some time, but half a year ago and before the last nerf it was very strong and capable, a worthy dinosaur for a solo player. After the nerf, when they reduced its turn rate, kentro became much weaker, but perhaps it was warranted considering how strong it was before. As for this "tlc", I'm staying away from it for now since I despise all the new changes and additions. P.s. Rhamph is another hideous dinosaur.

kentro is not suppose to be a face tank dino, its a hit and run bleeder. Also most of that WAS skill issue you cant blame the dinosaur for missing most of those hits.

Soon after (like, a few hours), the devs released server-wide buffs that put its health up to 600, tail attack up to 55, and gave it a buffed turn radius. Kentro is fine now, I’ve tested it And again, death rattle won’t help you against another 2 slot with half a brain because they can do this thing called now engaging for the next 45 seconds. Death rattle is great against larger things, like allo, don’t get me wrong, but not against something like conca
@Indoraptoad it hasn't gotten buffed since it's tlc, I don't know where you get your info but even the official discord will tell you the same. As stated before as well I solo 2 concs on release day of the tlc, this is simply a skill issue regardless of excuses you can come up with

The problems I see are, the basic tail attack is absurdly slow, and I don't know why it feels less agile than before.

Exceptions always exist aka iggy, they have bleed but their raw damage and DPS is great nonetheless so they don't suffer the same

Directional tail attacks feel worse to me, it's nice to hit pounced stuff but I wish all it changed was left-to-right vs right-to-left

U will win more if u play more aggresively as kent(its tail hit box kinda suck) btw kent sure is pretty strong now

Nah the model and animations/emotes need work. When doing emotes it’s front feet don’t even stay stationary, they just wobble around. Bs.

kentro is not suppose to be a face tank dino, its a hit and run bleeder. Also most of that WAS skill issue you cant blame the dinosaur for missing most of those hits.

Besides, all of kentro’s competition is faster than you, and you can’t exactly hit-and-run something that runs faster than you. Yeah, we weren’t used to kentro’s new hitboxes, but even so, pre-buff kentro kinda sucked. It’s good now though

Kentro isnt bad, this is just a skill issue. I can 2v1 conks with ease atm, all you had to do was use death rattle

And death rattle is next to useless against any 2 slot with half a brain because they can just stall out the 45 seconds
@Indoraptoad this is during the buff, he hasn't gotten buffed since it's tlc, it keeps pressure off of you. Just gotta learn to play a bit better
@@dracodragon7483 Kent has gotten buffed, server-wide. At release (the time of this video’s recording), it had 450 health and I think 45 damage on tail attack? Soon after (like, a few hours), the devs released server-wide buffs that put its health up to 600, tail attack up to 55, and gave it a buffed turn radius. Kentro is fine now, I’ve tested it
And again, death rattle won’t help you against another 2 slot with half a brain because they can do this thing called now engaging for the next 45 seconds. Death rattle is great against larger things, like allo, don’t get me wrong, but not against something like conca
@Indoraptoad it hasn't gotten buffed since it's tlc, I don't know where you get your info but even the official discord will tell you the same. As stated before as well I solo 2 concs on release day of the tlc, this is simply a skill issue regardless of excuses you can come up with

They’re server-wide changes. The buffs came out the same day of the TLC, just a few hours later
That kentro is dog water I play on a low end mobile device And I defeated a literal ceratosaurus which was the same skill level as you and I won without the same time that could just be because I'm cracked😂 but yeah I agree Kentro is not that good
