If you can, get the capacitive soil sensors. The ones you use corrode and can lose copper over time, making the soil pretty toxic. Also the DHT22 would be a more accurate version of the temperature and humidity sensor, while usually not being too pricy. But of course I don't know about the availability for you personally. Great tutorial though!

do we have to add libraries for the i2c lcd . or is it working with just the code

Search for "liquidcrystal i2c"

The project is for single pot, but how to water multiple pots.
You'll need more sensors if using multiple pots
Hence I would suggest you to go for capacitive soil moisture sensor and modify the code accordingly
