The music description was right. This really does sound video game-y, in a Touhou kind of way.
So this whole thing happened because she wanted to profit off of a magatama-powered trading card game? Sounds about right for the course.
Her laser spell is really scary for me because I have basically no trust when it comes to Touhou hitboxes. I've been scammed too many times while playing as Marisa.

The soundtrack comes from 東方虹龍洞　～ Unconnected Marketeers, the 18th Touhou game. Featuring Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, and Sanae, the game centers around "Ability Cards" that can be purchased over multiple playthroughs and equipped onto your character to grant various skills.
