Koishi actually did mention the Hell of Blood Pools years back (since HM), and it was in relation to Murasa (saying she drowned in it in HM and visits from time to time in ULiL), so that actually explains why she's in the game! Wasn't expecting this lore tidbit about Murasa, but I sure appreciate it.
