Awesome bundle! It’s funny, when I got my Neo Geo it had some picture issues due to needing a capacitor replacement, and the issues were most visible with Art of Fighting 2. So I spent a lot of time early on watching the intro to that game and listening to Yuri tell Ryo not to kill the “guy with the big nose”. But yeah of the more affordable titles that’s one of my favorites, even though it’s a brutal game. Huge characters, battle damage, and it really forces you to time your special attacks well.

I think that RGB Scart cable could be JP21 standard rather than the euro standard. I’d do some homework before plugging that into a euro tv as you may damage your equipment if you plug a JP21 cable into a Euro TV. A great haul though. The SNK shock-boxes are absolutely gorgeous. I’ve actually been playing a bit of NG lately as I finely got around to setting up my NeoSD FlashCart. I’m far to cheap to buy official NG games. Great video :).

I own the 4 slot Neo Geo-Big Red arcade with 60 Neo Geo MVS cartridges-and growing! Including some rare ones like Ciber Lip and Ghost Pilots. I got the arcade for 400 dollars with 4 games included (including Ninja Commando which was the most expensive game that was included) . It even takes memory card to save your progress and has 4.0 universal chip so I can’t change the regions of the games. The sounds and the big screen is out of this world! I say Neo Geo was ahead of it’s time. I still consider it the best system ever! 😄

I was planning on getting a neogeo. Was saving. Wasn't to thrilled on the cost thou plus a flash cart. maybe some offical games for the shelf. Atleast now with mister i can just play it on that. Saved a couple grand atleast. But neogeo has some damm amazing games. Metal Slug's, puzzle games, beat em ups, shoot em ups, has a ton of fighting games thou kof games aren't my thing. Hey capcom sv snk chaos is there if you like street fighter characters. I may very well pick one up one day in a later future. If I had a neogeo as a kid id be so happy..
Yea, I understand that people are satisfied with a Mister. In my opinion, nothing beats real hardware. But when stuff is getting hard to find and expensive, its definitely a good replacement. Keeping looking on auction sites and eventually you will find a console for an okay price. And yes, so many good games on this system. Pretty much all Im playing nowadays. Thank you for comment!

When I was about 18 I remember seeing a Neo Geo on display at a game store in 1994. I was amazed by the graphics but I knew I'd never be able to afford one. The rarest system I had back in the day was a Trubografx but I don't have nostalgia for it. I had 22 games for it. I sold it all for $80 back in 1992. I didn't think the system was all that great.
Nice! Which game was presented in the game store? Yea I’ve never gotten into Turbografx or PC Engine. However, I do think it looks like an interesting console. Just not as good as Neo Geo of course!
That’s a big box of fun! I’m curious, have you bought Neo Geo games before while not owning the console? I’ve done just that for machines I intended to buy later. Anyway, Savage Reign is a game I’ve only seen pictures of, never played. Definitely a fighter I’m curious about. I’m no fan of Art of Fighting, it’s fast and I simply don’t have a chance against the computer. Fatal Fury fits me much better, and World Heroes plays better than it’s reputation. The SNES comment is spot on, but it’s a nice SNES feeling! You show good taste by picking Magician Lord music for the last part. It’s great, especially like the “ambient” instruments that sort of sounds like a wind...

However, I did buy Wii games without having the console at one point just because they were so cheap. Definitely try out Savage Reign. I had a great time playing my copy from this box. Beautiful graphics and great gameplay. Oh I see. I definitely understand your point. They are not easy games and it takes a while to get into them. Thanks, glad you noticed my comment there. @@RetroMoments Yeah Perfect is easily the best one in the series! it is basically the "Super Turbo" treatment of World Heroes with combos involved and faster moves. I definitely recommend Aggressors of Dark Kombat too. 😆

I would say kof2003 as well... fantastic game can't stress enough how much I loved all the Neo Geo kof games, and I didn't care for 02 and 01 because they were challenging above the roof but I will go back to them one day 🙂

My friend had this system with most games in mint condition when the console came out he had ocd so all his games were in perfect condition he also has the 3do system some were still in plastic ive lost contact with him for over 10 years now last time I heard he went to jail I'm sure he still has all this at his parents house if I ever see him again I will ask him

I wonder if someone is keeping record of which aes serial numbers are still alive, which have been modded and who has them. Most people who owns one have great appreciation for them and would be nice to track them in case of theft and at least to prevent newcomers from buying consoles from dubious origins.
Honestly, I think most of them still work to this day. The early models have a reputation of having better parts inside so Im guessing they might live on a bit longer. Thank you for the comment!

Hello my friend congratulations 🎊🎉 for your new add on. All items are in mint condition and the RGB cable good choice. AOF 1 and FF1 are difficult to find now, and Savage reign oh my good this colored game is beautiful but very hard vs the cpu and in the handling. Nice 👍 and good game amigo.

Haha, good one! Well, when I first tried out the Neo Geo fighters I was surprised how different they played from each other. SNK had a lot of great ideas for fighthing games!
If those games were all US/Dog Tag versions, that would be worth quite a bit of money now. Since they are all JPN versions though, they are considered "common" and most are valued around $50 - $100/each. At least Savage Reign and Magician Lord have some value though.

Question, how were you introduced to Terry? A lot of people were introduced to him via Smash Ultimate, I was introduced to him via Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2.
Great question. A friend of mine had a Dreamcast back in the day. He bought Capcom vs SNK that we played a lot at one point. I remember trying the the SNK characters including Terry, but quickly realized I liked the SF characters more since I was used to them. Fast forward to being an adult, I found the Real Bout series and loved it immediately.
Street Fighter II CE!! Yeah i know..., it's not a Neo Geo game, but someone made an effort to port it a few years ago, this would have beaten all other Neo Geo games ;)

Oh, thanks for the warning. I didnt try it yet as I already have a PAL SCART cable for my AES. However, my European TV can handle NTSC signals as well. Dont you think it could work then?
@@RetroMoments No it would still fry your Scart port on your TV, those japanese Scarts are wired differently and a 5V pin is wired in a way that would fry your TV's port. It is called JP21 Scart. Cool collectible none the less but if you already have a Euro scart cable for your AES just use that :)
I got the whole collection of the NEO GEO I bought it when it was new now it sucks go buy the entire collection digital from Xbox one PS4 Nintendo Switch they play way much better they have the arcade graphics that’s what I did I bought every digital game plus earned trophies and achievements
Are you telling me that PS4 and Switch has improvements on the Neo Geo games? Well for some people it works to go with digital releases on newer consoles. Personally I prefer playing on the original hardware as it was intended. Theres a special feeling using only original parts.

When I was about 18 I remember seeing a Neo Geo on display at a game store in 1994. I was amazed by the graphics but I knew I'd never be able to afford one. The rarest system I had back in the day was a Trubografx but I don't have nostalgia for it. I had 22 games for it. I sold it all for $80 back in 1992. I didn't think the system was all that great.

Yea I’ve never gotten into Turbografx or PC Engine. However, I do think it looks like an interesting console. Just not as good as Neo Geo of course!

Anyway, Savage Reign is a game I’ve only seen pictures of, never played. Definitely a fighter I’m curious about.
I’m no fan of Art of Fighting, it’s fast and I simply don’t have a chance against the computer. Fatal Fury fits me much better, and World Heroes plays better than it’s reputation. The SNES comment is spot on, but it’s a nice SNES feeling!
You show good taste by picking Magician Lord music for the last part. It’s great, especially like the “ambient” instruments that sort of sounds like a wind...

Definitely try out Savage Reign. I had a great time playing my copy from this box. Beautiful graphics and great gameplay.

@@RetroMoments Yeah Perfect is easily the best one in the series! it is basically the "Super Turbo" treatment of World Heroes with combos involved and faster moves. I definitely recommend Aggressors of Dark Kombat too. 😆

I would say kof2003 as well... fantastic game can't stress enough how much I loved all the Neo Geo kof games, and I didn't care for 02 and 01 because they were challenging above the roof but I will go back to them one day 🙂
Har aldrig spelat på en Neo Geo-konsol, men har alltid varit sugen på att köpa en, men det är de dyra spelen som hindrat mig. Har spelat några av dem på arkadmaskin och minns framförallt Samurai Shodown/Samurai Spirit och har riktigt fina minnen från ettan. 😊
Härligt Tommy! Ja Samurai Shodown är ju så sjukt bra. Dock tycker jag personligen att 2an och 4an är de bästa. Men själv har jag inga minnen från dessa spel så kan bero på därför :) Riktigt härlig serie överlag dock!
My friend had this system with most games in mint condition when the console came out he had ocd so all his games were in perfect condition he also has the 3do system some were still in plastic ive lost contact with him for over 10 years now last time I heard he went to jail I'm sure he still has all this at his parents house if I ever see him again I will ask him

I wonder if someone is keeping record of which aes serial numbers are still alive, which have been modded and who has them. Most people who owns one have great appreciation for them and would be nice to track them in case of theft and at least to prevent newcomers from buying consoles from dubious origins.
Honestly, I think most of them still work to this day.
The early models have a reputation of having better parts inside so Im guessing they might live on a bit longer.

Well, when I first tried out the Neo Geo fighters I was surprised how different they played from each other. SNK had a lot of great ideas for fighthing games!
If those games were all US/Dog Tag versions, that would be worth quite a bit of money now. Since they are all JPN versions though, they are considered "common" and most are valued around $50 - $100/each. At least Savage Reign and Magician Lord have some value though.
Yea, I've been really diving into the NEO-GEO world for a year now. I actually found some DOGTAG games recently! It's all coming in the next video. Stay tuned :D

Question, how were you introduced to Terry? A lot of people were introduced to him via Smash Ultimate, I was introduced to him via Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2.
Great question. A friend of mine had a Dreamcast back in the day. He bought Capcom vs SNK that we played a lot at one point. I remember trying the the SNK characters including Terry, but quickly realized I liked the SF characters more since I was used to them.
Fast forward to being an adult, I found the Real Bout series and loved it immediately.

True that. Thats completely correct. Very sad indeed. The classics are great. But the best thing I know is finding these hidden gems that most people are not playing.
The game prices were not even that bad at the time if you consider even the smaller games had at least 4 times the memory of the other home consoles.

Please be careful with that SCART Cable, it is made for Japanese TVs and will fry your Scart ports on your European TV.
Oh, thanks for the warning. I didnt try it yet as I already have a PAL SCART cable for my AES. However, my European TV can handle NTSC signals as well. Dont you think it could work then?
@@RetroMoments No it would still fry your Scart port on your TV, those japanese Scarts are wired differently and a 5V pin is wired in a way that would fry your TV's port. It is called JP21 Scart. Cool collectible none the less but if you already have a Euro scart cable for your AES just use that :)

I got the whole collection of the NEO GEO I bought it when it was new now it sucks go buy the entire collection digital from Xbox one PS4 Nintendo Switch they play way much better they have the arcade graphics that’s what I did I bought every digital game plus earned trophies and achievements
Are you telling me that PS4 and Switch has improvements on the Neo Geo games?
Well for some people it works to go with digital releases on newer consoles. Personally I prefer playing on the original hardware as it was intended. Theres a special feeling using only original parts.
