There was no gate at that time. It was our first time, and we just followed the tracks. Hopefully, there's a gate now. If there is one when we visit again, we'll stay outside the barrier for sure. Thank you for watching.
@@minthos4045 yup. Just basic stupid move check level officer. So, when you drive into fenced off areas, and post a video of it (stupid) you get checked!
Hi, I am Calgary based as well. Looking for more guys to go Overland with in the area. Maybe learn a thing or two as well. Would be good if we can meet up one of these days 👍🏼
Yes, even solo (not advisable) in summer dry conditions via the south (easy) trail. I saw a Honda Pilot leaving the area as we were driving in. An AWD SUV will need some help In winter for sure. Some of the hills are quite steep.
You should be fine. :-) If you take the easy route, I suggest getting the Avenza Maps app on your phone, download the Ghost Plus georeferenced map, and follow markers 120. 123. 119. 127. 139. 140. Good luck!!
You'll have no issues with. My 2018 Tacoma Offroad is close to stock as well. Download the Avenza Maps app on your phone. You can download and open the Ghost PLUZ map into Avenza. Then just follow the easy trail from marker 120, 123, 119, 127, 139 to the lake near 140. Route will be mostly beside Waiparous Creek. lots of camping by the Creek as well. The hard trail is from 139, 141, 153, 154, 155, 121. open.alberta.ca/dataset/456a507b-66e0-4e9f-b1fa-4132ccd3597c/resource/cfa6bbdd-e638-4c55-a0b9-7663f7ab3ce8/download/aep-ghost-pluz-georeferenced-map-2022.pdf
so you filmed yourself going around a gated barrier, and then parked at the water edge...brilliant job!
