For the dashing in the last one that's how normal blade games would work the most agile and the person who parrys and attacks faster will win

I think the dashing on blade art isnt that bad seeing as in SAO the combat consited of a lot of backing up and dashing back. People would probably also ignore or get used to it if other feautres can outshine it

l think blade arts dashing is actually a good idea ,if they could make a dash bar or something that limits the amount of times u can dash before your tired the combat would be a bit better so that it not just consistent back to back dashing every 2 seconds in battle , but this is just my opinion.

Great idea, somehow reminds me of black desert online combat system, they put stamina bar for dashing so player won't be able to dash too much. The dashing system is really a good system imo.

Out of all new roblox sao game. BAO is the one i like the most but because its a perma death game I'll have to pick something else 💀 been grinding alone in every game. I'm totally gonna get jumped by some kids the moment i set foot inside dungeon and get my whole slot and rarest item stolen n wiped 😂 its dw all over again 🗣️

me personally I think blade art looks the best but they need to change some stuff with the combat as you said.
Personally I would make the dash a separate button, add some sort of cool down when in pvp and lower the gfx on it a bit since for a dash it looks a little too much, if they want to "stay true to the show", just removing the circle thing would be enough I think (but that might just be because they are used so often). I agree with probably everything you said. The like rag doll at the end of the combo is weird but that might be 'cause there weren't any abilities in the video.
A good thing for an SAO game would be a parry + counter system. The parry system would be self explanatory but I would also like there to be a regular counter from where if someone keeps attacking you while blocking you could counter them similar to Blood samurai 2 (I think it was a long time ago I played that so it might be totally different from what I'm thinking). But of course there would be a block break and I think the counter should be done in a way where you time it but idk if it's achievable in a balanced way.
Another thing is that the combat should be decently grounded so you don't have like a billion different air combos and ladders since it's a sword game based of a show where the people in it could more or less do what they could in real life. These are just some suggestions from what I saw here, haven't seen anything other than what is in the video and I'm not in the discord. Either way I think the game will turn out amazing if they don't disappear 😭

game 2 seems mid, game 1 seems dead, last game has major issues that they need to work on
the best part about the last game is gui, most games fail on gui
what they should change:
the dashing, just make it normal like deepwoken for instance, and work on the other keybinds to make sure they arent equally as bad as the dashes
r6 instead of r15, its just better for combat games

the reason we haven't gotten a good sword art online game on roblox is because the game in the anime BLOWS , IT'S BASICALLY WORLD OF WARCRAFT BUT WITHOUT THE GOOD STUFF AND WITH WORSE SHIT STUFF LIKE THE INVENTORY, which you can't have open at all time, which in an actual MMO is damn stupid because you can easily get killed , in sword art online, you have to open your inventory and scroll down, which is bad game design
Edit : sword art online as a whole sucks, the only good sao thing wasn't even made by the original writer.

Lets face it, sword art online was not a fun game.
Its the classic, saturated, mmo PvE based with bullshit leveling that's all about skill spam...
Alfheim (As a game, for fuck sake, we're way past defenting ALO) is a much more fun take at an rpg.
Good balance of PvE and PvP content, facions, magic with casting system and sword skills, flying as a core feature of the game, so the maps where made with flying in mind. A much more interesting game overall

I'm gonna say it right now. They're gonna run out of canon stuff fast. SAO as a series doesnt care that much about their world as much as the characters. Which is also bad. Although you may not like Swordburst, it's nearly the perfect representation of SAO. SAO itself was never even a good game to begin with.
did you forget about progressive light novels? you say they're going to run out of canon stuff fast yet there are multiple demon slayer games, which lack canon content too. and swordburst is very, very bad and outdated
@doupt Does the progressive light novels fix all the issues and plot holes that SAO has when it comes down to it? Was the unique skill concept fixed? Does SAO actually play like the average game?
My whole point here is, SAO as a concept is flawed. The only major issue with Swordburst is the combat and such. But if we wanted to be very true to SAO, that's just how it's gonna be. And Swordburst is nearly a perfect representation of that. They're gonna get to a point where they run out of canon stuff because SAO doesn't even care all that much about its own world.
Notice how in SAO, there's an unequal amount of sword skills between each weapon. Notice how braindead the unique skills are. (Also, noticed how most of the unique skills weren't explained. Just shown that others exist beyond the two unique skills you know).
Notice how people doesn't even know how the STAT system works. So just from the BASE level, developers would already have to come up with their own ideas with the stats. This isn't even getting into how lacking the weapons themselves are.
My whole point is that the developers are gonna run out of canon stuff hella fast. So they'll be forced to come up with their own original ideas pretty quickly.
Of course Demon Slayer got a bunch of games. A bunch of braindead roblox players made them popular because demon slayer was the #1 top trending anime at the time. But even the writer cared more about his world than SAO's.
