I think the dashing on blade art isnt that bad seeing as in SAO the combat consited of a lot of backing up and dashing back. People would probably also ignore or get used to it if other feautres can outshine it

i think, you are missing SAO:HF it will be first good CC SAO game. Why? A lot of polls. When devs does a lot of polls based on people suggestion you can tell, they actually listen to the community. Graphics? Good enough Combat? Elden Ring/Souls-like combat system Meaning we will see parrying from what i know it will have like crafting mechanics, so imo a lot of potential Also it's Hardcore game meaning you die once, you lose everything giving an actual SAO feel ik not a lot of people likes Hardcode as they don't enjoy losing everything BUT it gives an actaul SAO feel tho

game 2 seems mid, game 1 seems dead, last game has major issues that they need to work on the best part about the last game is gui, most games fail on gui what they should change: the dashing, just make it normal like deepwoken for instance, and work on the other keybinds to make sure they arent equally as bad as the dashes r6 instead of r15, its just better for combat games combat system rework, with parrying vr support

A good thing for an SAO game would be a parry + counter system. The parry system would be self explanatory but I would also like there to be a regular counter from where if someone keeps attacking you while blocking you could counter them similar to Blood samurai 2 (I think it was a long time ago I played that so it might be totally different from what I'm thinking). But of course there would be a block break and I think the counter should be done in a way where you time it but idk if it's achievable in a balanced way. Another thing is that the combat should be decently grounded so you don't have like a billion different air combos and ladders since it's a sword game based of a show where the people in it could more or less do what they could in real life. These are just some suggestions from what I saw here, haven't seen anything other than what is in the video and I'm not in the discord. Either way I think the game will turn out amazing if they don't disappear 😭

Lets face it, sword art online was not a fun game. Its the classic, saturated, mmo PvE based with bullshit leveling that's all about skill spam... Alfheim (As a game, for fuck sake, we're way past defenting ALO) is a much more fun take at an rpg. Good balance of PvE and PvP content, facions, magic with casting system and sword skills, flying as a core feature of the game, so the maps where made with flying in mind. A much more interesting game overall

And Swordburst is nearly a perfect representation of that. They're gonna get to a point where they run out of canon stuff because SAO doesn't even care all that much about its own world. Notice how in SAO, there's an unequal amount of sword skills between each weapon. Notice how braindead the unique skills are. (Also, noticed how most of the unique skills weren't explained.
