is it possible/safe to plug a yamaha C4 stage piano (L/mono) into this as well as an acoustic guitar? I play both, but don't want to buy both the VK and the VG, let alone switch between the two during a gig. Also, is there pitch correction on this one like the VK? Thanks
Harmonizer sounds nice at any price point. I'd like to see it harmonize over slightly more complex chords. The rest of the features are also great and should be given how long manufacturers have been making them.

I love that I can assign different settings to the Switch 6 and use multiple different types of harmonies in the same song. Can I do the same by hooking up the switch 6 to the Acoustic Play? I need to have separate outputs for guitar and vocal so the VG is no good for me.

The Voice Live Play Acoustic manual only mentions the Switch 3 and not the 6, however according to some reviews on our product page, the Switch 6 seems to work as expected when used with the Voice Live Play Acoustic. My Perform VG's guitar effects aren't working. Can this be sent in for repair ? I don't have an acoustic with a pickup, but I do have a Strat, and when I play through it, I get no effects, even though they are on. I do get the vocal effects. So basically to turn on or off the harmonies or any other effect for that matter,you would need to purchase the footswitch ,example you want to bring in the harmonies just for the chorus of the song ,how would you go about switching to harmonies when the unit is mounted on the microphone stand,unless you do it by hand and get out off beat from playing your guitar,or again a foot switch is required (mandatory) or this unit is absolutely useless without the foot switch,unless I'm missing something, want to purchase, please clarify.

The one I have has a bad "hum" in it ... The hum goes away IF I touch one end or the other end of the patch cable ... completely goes away ... but ... once I let go ... the hum is BACK... I've tried different patch cables ... doesn't matter .... I don't get the hum if I plug my guitar into my guitar amp OR even if I use a VOX Amp Plug.... Strange ... any suggestions?
Sometimes you can get a ground loop if your PA/Mixer/Amp are plugged into a different outlet than the VG. Putting everything onto the same circuit can help. Also, there's a tiny "GND" switch on the back of the product that lifts the ground. That can help too. Give it a try :)
Once a 1/4 inch is plugged into the thru jack, does it automatically bypass? Or does it recognize an acoustic signal and still send output through the mic out? Am curious of being able to run both acoustic and electric signal through this puppy. Not at the same time, just during a show, it would be great to switch between acoustic and electric between songs and have everything consistent.

I sure hope this works on banjo...also, the overlap or lack thereof in these products is frustrating. I popped on this, over the VE because it has some things that should help get my live banjo sound to where I want it. Enough cheaper too. If the VE had some of the things this had it may have drawn me up. And also, if this had some of the cool features of the VE I would be more confident in my purchase. I also play bass so I’m concerned I won’t have the right amount of badassery to warrant bringing the extra kit into the band. Fingers crossed, it looks like a great and useful unit. If only it had everything! Such is life
Can you confirm for me, does the TC Helicon Perform VG have a Double - Doubling voice effect? (The Perform V have it as a button, and the Perform VK can Import the Doubling effect as a Preset with the app through the Beam- Beamable, but for the Perform VG I can't find the answer on the internet
Hi Milos, this is a good question! Unfortunately, the Perform VG will not be able to do doubling for you. The Harmony effect does not have any unison modes, only intervals above and below, and the unit itself does not have any presets or the ability to beam presets into it. No you can not beam anything with the Perform v App To the VG....i own both. V and VG...To me VG sounds better (i use VG with electric guitar) the Vocal section ist more tweakable than Perform V.
Compared to other brands tc helicon delivers better harmony and has good harmony tracking. Like from major to minor, Sus to maj, it also depends which chord position youre using so to get the right harmony voice to float out. Ive tried and owned a single blue harmony singer and now use tc helicon gxt the harmony tone voice are a bit different. try test before buying. they have a lot for you to choose that will suit your taste. Example of good harmony tracking using the proper chord position - "sound of silence song" very close harmony to point. If the harmony is out you might not be using the right chord position. (1st/2nd/3rd/ openchords/slash chords.)

Although i like the quality of the voice but I bought it expecting to have similar hardtune like on the Pa4x and on the Voicelive touch 2. Can I use the PERFORM-VG along with my current guitar pedals (Keeley Compressor Plus, Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master V3 and my Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo Reverb V3)???.... I know that the PERFORM-VG also allows to bring effects to the guitar, but I don't what to replace my current pedal effects.... so this is possible? Can the PERFORM-VG still understand my guitar after passing through my pedals and then use this as the "reference level" to adjust my voice and the guitar sound?

Hey Andy. There's no second mic input for the acoustic, so it's definitely designed with a pre-amped guitar in mind. That said, there's a small "RoomSense" mic on the front of the unit that can capture your chords from a nearby acoustic, so you can get key/scale for Harmony without plugging the guitar in. That doesn't solve an amplification problem, but you could separately mic the guitar to a mixer while still getting the harmony component.

There's a ton of TCH products that do harmony, since it's kind of our coolest trick ;) I think the best way to figure out what you need is to narrow down to things like "Do you want a guitar or MIDI input?" "Do you want looping, or guitar effects?". The sales engineers at Sweetwater are great at helping figure that kind of thing out with you and directing you to the best solution for your budget.
@@ayamjago449 Yes you can! the Perform VG has a built-in room mic that will pick up on what you are playing right in front of it and generate harmonies based on that!

The tiny hole between the "mix" and "echo" buttons is the mic - it automatically engages if there isn't a guitar in detected through a TRS Cable to the VG. If there is a guitar plugged in, the room mic disengages and instead the VG relies on the information being transmitted through the TRS cable. Thanks for singing with us!
Sure can. I'd suggest going into Perform-VG and then use the THRU to go out to your amp/pedals. This mutes the guitar in the main output of the VG and only uses the guitar signal for chord detection for harmony.
interesting... but: I, for example, have 125 songs in my portfolio - almost all with different harmonies settings...I can only remember them (I can't!) if I look at a sheet with a designated preset.....w/o clickable presets I'd be lost - I would say this piece is not very live performance user friendly...IMHO

Touch 2 has a dedicated "HardTune" block, but VG doesn't have that effect at all. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding of the capabilities of VG?

Kihei Seto it picks harmony based on the chord you play in real time. So if your playing a minor chord, the harmony will be minor to match.

That doesn't solve an amplification problem, but you could separately mic the guitar to a mixer while still getting the harmony component.
Can you double and reverb at the same time? Can you mix it up?

Hey, Jomon! Josh here at Sweetwater… Thanks for the inquiry! Great question. This guy has the vocal and guitar sounds built in. This doesn't function like a standalone sampler that can take VST's. Give me a shout, though, so I know we're on the same page!

I am very confused about all the similar TC-helicon products. Which are the ones that do harmonies?
There's a ton of TCH products that do harmony, since it's kind of our coolest trick ;) I think the best way to figure out what you need is to narrow down to things like "Do you want a guitar or MIDI input?" "Do you want looping, or guitar effects?". The sales engineers at Sweetwater are great at helping figure that kind of thing out with you and directing you to the best solution for your budget.

@@ayamjago449 Yes you can! the Perform VG has a built-in room mic that will pick up on what you are playing right in front of it and generate harmonies based on that!
TC HELICON where is the built in room mic exactly? Do I have to activate it?
@@ayamjago449 You don't have to activate the room mic actually! The tiny hole between the "mix" and "echo" buttons is the mic - it automatically engages if there isn't a guitar in detected through a TRS Cable to the VG. If there is a guitar plugged in, the room mic disengages and instead the VG relies on the information being transmitted through the TRS cable. Thanks for singing with us!

Sure can. I'd suggest going into Perform-VG and then use the THRU to go out to your amp/pedals. This mutes the guitar in the main output of the VG and only uses the guitar signal for chord detection for harmony.

interesting... but: I, for example, have 125 songs in my portfolio - almost all with different harmonies settings...I can only remember them (I can't!) if I look at a sheet with a designated preset.....w/o clickable presets I'd be lost - I would say this piece is not very live performance user friendly...IMHO

You could, but I'd use the IN/THRU to go out to your amp and/or pedals. The processing inside the unit is meant more specifically for acoustic.
You should have 4 hands to use this gear and sing. Without switch 3 or 6 this gear is not practical. I think voicelive 3 is a better option.
