Be very careful with how your equipment is worded. Diamond pick gives the treasure generation text to Alexios which you dont control at the time As opposed to goldvein pick which has the text itself that you do control at the time gives you the treasure when he connects under an opponents control
Ya exactly anything that says "Whenever" with quotations will give that effect to whoever is controlling it at that time of the "Whenever" Trigger taking effect
Very cool build. Although, even with taking out Jeweled Lotus and City of Traitors (thinking of replacing it with Sandstone Needles for budget consideration), this deck is still very much high power casual. Do you find that Powerbalance hits enough to be worth it? The decks curve is pretty low. I guess getting 3 chances to hit vs 1 in EDH over constructed makes it worthwhile?
I really tried to keep only the creatures with good utility for the commander. I've been considering blood moon for a bit of time now but I think it's just too mean for casual groups.
This deck originally was a slicer tech that I was trying to make casual, I switched face commanders and then swapped cards as I played to try and make it slower and more casual (and also to get some of the slicer specific support out) So i can tell you it is possible haha, Good luck with your friends!
Barityl the entertainer? worth including, can put a bit of a boost on him to keep everything with lesser power goaded, and it may draw some removal away from Alexios
I love this idea, I am trying to veer away from taking pressure off of Alexios however. I want this to be something I can bring to casual settings and cards that take pressure away from Alexios means he stays on the table longer which becomes less fair.
@@UncommonRamen i do agree, the idea is in my mind as im dealing with a krenko impact tremors player and yea, its a problem, and i dont want to open the pandoras box of land destructioning him out of his commander
My guy, do you always do a theme for land? If so, props. I just use what I get from packs Also, thanks for the video. I needed inspirations. I'm excited to run this silly commander!
@claybank5687 Haha, yea I do try to theme the lands in all my decks. I always have a pile laying around so why not haha. Also, thank you for watching I'm glad it could inspire.

I was going to run Shadowspear in Alexios till I realized Alexio's controller gains the life, not the owner

Oh wow, good catch, I hadn't really considered that. I swapped it out for Fire Shrieker, can;t be giving the oppos any advantages.
Yeah, don't need to give the opponent any life!
@@UncommonRamen🔥 Shrieker is a pet card of mine so I'm happy and ya no helping opps

Yeah, I think you missed my air quotes, people call him the "fair slicer". I don't, personally, agree with people. The card goes hard.
Very similar to mine. I run more monsters. I ended up winning in 6-7 turns tonight with Bloodmoon.

@@UncommonRamen It is so mean. Played on T3, it shuts down a lot.
Amazing video its super similar to my slicer.. im trying to dumb slicer down so i got this guy so my buddies shouldn't be as hateful towards it

@@veruslupus yeah, sometimes you have to modify a deck based on play group. Gotta do what you gotta do. Baeloth is a clever idea!
@@UncommonRamen theres an even more violently offensive card to add if you dont want friends. silent arbiter

In your current decklist, what will you take out to slide in Tibalt's Trickery?
I honestly wouldn't take anything out because I am not a fan of Trickery, but if I HAD to choose I'd drop either Wyll's Reversal or Wild Ricochet.
Why do you hide the back of cards?
@TheKeloy the sleeves for this deck have a picture of a friend of mine, for thier privacy I chose to hide the face.
