This was so helpful, I watched it 3 times in a row! Have had Sarcoidosis since 1983, possibly even earlier. Most of my doctors have poo-poo'ed me when I tell them. I have had 3 biopsies that show I have it, Lung biopsy in 1999, Skin in 2000 and 2001. Those 2 doctors have retired, and I've found that none of the doctors here in my smallish city in IL are willing to talk to each other, let alone work together for the patient. I also have the LE phenomenon found in 1986, which is found in either SLE Lupus, or Rheumatoid Arthritis, or Dermatomyosiitis. So I've been told over the decades I had Lupus (SLE), then 31 yrs later dr said "RA" instead. I was also told I have a Neuro-muscular disease, possibly Lou Gerhig's (ALS). 4 Nerve tests were done, 2009-2012) the first 3 were positive, just before the 4th one my doctor gave me steroids for a sinus infection and then my Nerve test was fine except for Carpel Tunnel. Also had another test done last year and they said it was fine! However, I can hardly walk, it feels like a vise grip is gripping me around my hips/pelvis. Almost completely bed-bound now.

My Sarcoid was diagnosed in 1994 and have Lofgren Syndrome which was described perfectly by the physician. I am in fact of Northern European heritage as well so I fit directly into that mold. It was dormant for 15 years and then seems to return with joint pain and swelling as well as low-grade fevers every 3 or 4 years. For me anyway, it will be a lifelong experience.

There are several suggestions for treating sarcoidosis at home
Consider changing your Diet - In some cases sarcoidosis has been associated with celiac disease, such as a reaction to certain protein chains commonly referred to as glutens found in some cereal grains such as wheat.
You could also take different Natural supplements, herbs, and vitamins
Also the use of anti-oxidants and natural anti-inflammatory supplements could be of benefit.
(I discovered these and the reasons they work from Remission crusher tactic site )

Let's Talk Sarcoidosis thank you for asking! I am feeling well. It has regressed out of my left eye but it is still manifesting itself in my lungs and throughout my skin. I have found that gluten really seems to inflame my "spots" and I feel so much better while coming off of gluten. My 3 main medical doctors have come together to do a homeopathic approach to my treatment which is doing well. I am blessed and my journey and testimony continues

I've had a lifetime of symptoms from irregular white cell count, etc. Was first diagnosed with Lupus (SLE) in my early 30's to also being diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 2009 after a lung biopsy. It's a rough road. I'm almost 58 now, so I've been dealing with these issues for most of my life.

I'm the same age too and was diagnosed in 1984 at the age of 26 years. They thought I had lymphoma. I too had a biopsy but it was in my neck. That's when i was finally diagnosed after five long days. Please stay positive.

MY lung collapsed about 8 months ago. They thought I had pneumonia. I was later diagnosed with sarcoidosis after several CT scans with contrast. my lung is still collapsed, no saving it. I was put on 60mg prednisone for a month then 40mg for 5 months until a new doctor said that was crazy and tapered me off them. This disease has turned my life upside down. I've gained over 50lbs in the past 5 months from the steroids and my face is always breaking out with these large painful acne like pimples. I barely recognize myself. It's depressing. I can't even walk upstairs to put my youngest son to bed without gasping for air and sharp heavy chest pains. It doesn't seem like doctor's take this seriously. thank u for this video. I learned things that I was not aware of.

      Christina,
Take a deep breath because I know how depressing and frustrating it can be,. I too experienced a collapsed lung on several occasions. You must remain positive and keep your head up! It may feel as if it's the end of the world but believe me it's not. You can still live a productive life. Try and eat healthy , especially while on prednisone, it can help control your weight gain.Watch some of my healthy eating episodes. I've been there so I know your struggle. Stay strong & positive! Blessings, Dorothea

A pulmonalogist found white spots on my lungs and removed about 11 granulomas. He told me that have sarcoids. This was several years ago. Over the past 2-1/2 years I've been having really bad chest pains. Several tests have shown that it's not my heart, since heart disease runs in my family. Recently I've been having problems breathing. The other night it dawned on me that the chest pain and breathing is most likely sarcoids. I have an appointment with my new primary who I didn't think to tell him that I have sarcoidosis.

      Isabella,
Sarcoidosis can be a monster disease and affects multiple organs of your body. It can cause chest discomfort as well. Make sure you tell your primary care doctor that you have sarcoidosis because it's important that all of your professional care takers work as a team! Many blessings, Dorothea

for me fluoride is the culprit in triggering sarcoidosis. It is not only found in toothpaste, but pesticides (especially grapes) tea also absorbs large amount of fluoride from the water and stores it in the leaves. If you have this.... try eating organic...eliminating tea and fluoride toothpastes and drinking water that does not have fluoride added to the water...hope this helps.
