The blogs are full of this “ something big is about to happen” nonsense here in the U.K. Something big inevitably happens, regularly. People are happy in their delusions, happy with their miserable Brexit, that has ruined so many people’s lives, happy to swallow any amount of anti-Chinese propaganda while knowing nothing about the country. Enjoy the holidays Iain, ☮️加油!
I used to like Christmas here in Australia, it meant a time for family to be together as it's a public holiday. But it's become sooo incredibly commercialised and now Christmas and December is just so stressful and expensive
Nice video Iain, aren't we all more or less hypocrite, I for one, have to be a hypocrite at work sometimes. Don't be to harsh on yourself, it's the time of the year to forgive others and yourself. Drink a beer with your friends and family, happy end of the year Iain. 👍🎄 ♥️, 🇨🇳♥️🇨🇳.
Thanks. I do all my editing on my mobile phone, iPhone. I use Lumafusion for speedy edits (which is simple but great to use), and then I output to my photo app. Then I take that output and run it through Capcut for the subtitles ( I have a pro account on Capcut, which is worth the money) and a smaller file size output. I could just use Capcut, but it can be more fidgety on a phone. I hope that helps.
We've decided to be daft enough to come over to Shenyang for Chinese New Year for a few weeks. I may even do a short trip to Beijing for a few days as well.
You’re not a hypocrite by spending your money, if that’s what you mean Iain. Money should be a tool we use to go about life, like buying a drink for ourselves, or a little gift to show our appreciation for our loved ones. Except some people see it as an opportunity to splash out their hard earned money to prove their big bank accounts or running up their plastic cards and run into trouble trying to pay their debts whilst they fall into the commercial traps like you said to profit off this holiday.
You are so correct… the pressure to spend and get into debt is huge. I avoid it and teach my kids to avoid it.. but for many, these days, it is the only way they can get buy and it is accentuated at Christmas time. I am moving to that age where I appreciate things differently and material things mean less to me and a simple life beckons. 👍🏼
Nice vid. Spooky dark music for the countryside segment tho. Iain , you’re not a hypocrite, you’re a brainwashed hypocrite… ha ha ha. No doubt you think the same about me. (You basically said that in the video.) Anyhew, season’s greetings to you and yore kin. Peace. ❤
Hi Stephen, I always appreciate your comments… balanced and fair as we have discussed previously. All the best for the new year and I hope you and the family have a brilliant Christmas and take the time to hold the ones you love close. 👍🏼 ✌️
Chinese things and people are not bad. But when something happened like the sudden explosion of a flat in Shenzhen yesterday, they just covered the news as much as they could do. When a policeman's family know that the father is going to be sent to serve in Xinjiang, they are crying and they won't think that's the safest and good job.
News is news…. These things happen. I have been to Xinjiang, a beautiful place and made safe and secure by China… unlike where the western forces have been, shambolic approach by them.
Well what do you want? A song and dance? There are REAL problems out there, like wars and genocide. The west is really good at diverting attention from real issues and focusing on mundane stuff like gender, race, diversity and whatnot.
Thanks for another great video of truth Iain.
Thank you for watching and to take the time to leave the comment ❤️ ✌️
Great video, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Years.
thank you and all the same to you and your family - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, to you all.
Great to see Bruce again 😀
We had a good catchup over a beer 🍻 it was amazing to catch up with him again. ❤️
sometimes it takes decades to change one's mind
That’s true.. I am seeing more and more people now question things..! 👍🏼
Good video.thank you for the effort.
Thank you for watching.. 👌🏻
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you ✌️
I love Scotland
It is a beautiful part of the world ✌️
Thank you for all your beautiful videos. As you said, there are those who know, and those who don't want to know. Merry Christmas.
Thank you for watching and yep, the smart people see through it all! 👍
Merry chrismas and have a fantastic new year! BTW, Scotland is really beautiful!
Thank you... yep, Scotland is a beautiful country.

You took the words right out of my mouth… and yep, people are delusional and don’t help themselves with how they are blinded by the politicians!!!

I live in Vietnam and you are telling the truth 👍🆗 I'm going to like and subscribe.
Been in Vietnam for 11 years.
I'm never going back 😂
Vietnam looks like another excellent place to live… exactly, go back to what? For me it would be the U.K… and that’s a mess!

Ian, I agree with you that the year 2025 may be a troubling year for all of us! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Jolly Good Year ahead. Bless you.🙏
Thank you… I think it is going to be a challenging year for many. Merry Christmas and I hope I am wrong about the next year. ✌️
Spot on again!
Thanks for watching 👍
Great content as always mate. Saw some amazing people in Edinburgh when I visited a few years ago.
Thank you, Edinburgh is a beautiful city. Full of unique character and characters 😂 👍
Love the Scotch mist. 😃
It was a very misty morning and difficult to get a decent shot but it turned out nice for an hour as the mist was lifting ❤️

It is so very expensive these days….!! I think I am going to start to keep it more simple next year…! (I think I said it last year too, though!)
We stopped doing presents years ago. Just family get-togethers, slap up meals, and reunions with friends.

Well said. Hopefully our "hypocrisy" will not cause wars and disasters to others... and to ourselves!!

No such thing as democracy!
Yep… it is smoke and mirrors. The wealth would never give it over to the common people… they have even told us that on many occasions.

maybe both. hurts you?
I will retire between both and hopefully travel more ✌️
