Hi Richard! Thanks for reviewing DoSL. It is much appreciated. A little additional info, if I may... Each Saturday at 1130am SLT the newest HUD is released via the globe in your video. At this time, normally many drivers will leave as a group, usually looking a bit like the old american cartoon "Wacky Races". Another group usually gathers 12.5 hour later for the midnight run. However, every new drive remains "active" for two weeks (meaning the prize will be available and hopefully none of the landmarks will change) and any driver can complete the drive anytime during those two weeks, 24/7. One may even stop along the way, and later put the HUD back on and continue where they left off. Also, in the file cabinets upon which sits the globe, one can find archived drives (but any drive over 2 weeks old may not have a prize and locations may be missing). In addition to the normal drives, we also periodically have special events. BTW: Haru Motors... a bold choice for road driving ;) I have one also and it is tricky on the roads. You did very well in it. Also, it just so happens, that the maker of the yacht in your video has been our prize sponsor a couple times.
Hey Vik, thanks so much for this! I have pinned your comment so hopefully this can help some more people :) And yes it was a bold choice, I really need to improve my car inventory lol
My school's Travel Club do the SL Grid Drive every week. I went for the first time last night. After hiking up that steep cliff, we gave a woman a bit of fright as a group of 9 kids and teens pop up from the dock, with a dog, and our teacher. She was super friendly, though, and now we may have a new chaperone to join us! :D
You are so EFFINGGG ADORABLE and playfully innocent, dude! It just totally renews my love of SL on another friggin’ level! Thanks for posting this and please PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!!🏳️🌈💕🔥🦄🔥💕🏳️🌈
It is also a special fun (even it's much more laggy) to join the "group drives" - maybe not for video-captures in high quality, but sure for the community-fun. I don't remember, if you was mention it ... the file-cabinets, where the little globe-giver is placed on, have all the HUDs from the past available. But 2 things: The rewards are (average) for 2 weeks available ... some maybe longer, but there was also some more limited. And some things might have changed meanwhile (before empty land that is in use now, places that are gone). Have fun and maybe see you on a Saturday/Sunday - it I doing the group, I'm usual on the one at the Saturdays 11:59pm SLT.
Second life its so much better than minecraft, roblox etc.... I have like 14 years, im 27 years old and I play a lot of videogames and I still think that SL its the best game
I've been a member of Second Life for 15 years now, and a content creator for 5 years.... after all that time... i really wish i had something good to say about it. Gotta love a developer that refuses to do anything to help/defend a popular content creator when someone is BLATANTLY stealing and reselling their designs by means of a copybot viewer, while publicly bragging that they're doing so... yet goes out of their way to spy on consenting adults and ban them without warning if they happen to be discussing a topic they dont approve of. Tip to all the copybotters out there.... LL doesn't give a f*ck about their content creators anymore, go ahead and steal EVERYTHING you can. unless the creator of the item happens to have an active copyright on their work, LL will do nothing to protect them or punish you. they're too busy playing Blade Runner, banning people for "thought crimes" to be bothered with protecting the income streams that pay their bills. Note to LindenLab: you had every chance to help me in my time of need and refused to do so when proving my case would've taken less than 5 minutes of your time. THIS is what happens when you refuse to support your content creators then ban them without warning or explanation. i will continue posting this on every single Second Life related video i can find until i get bored with it. (sorry to any content creators caught in the crossfire, but something has to be done to knock some common sense into the Nazis that run the grid. maybe losing profits for the forseeable future will have an effect.)
why on earth are you calling this "gaming"? the only things second life has in common with a game are the graphical user interface and the ability to play mini games in world. second life itself is a 3D social networking platform / life simulator, not a game.
