    So glad that I found your channel, by far the best E bike channel on You Tube. In this video you say tighten the bottom bracket to 80Nm, but in your other video on the installation of the Bafang motor, you say tighten it to 60Nm. Which is the correct torque Thanks for all the time and work you put in to helping others

    • @frcr90
      @frcr90 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Richard, that's true. We've said in previous videos to tighten the nut to 60Nm because that's Bafang's recommendation. However, at the shop, we have been doing 80Nm, and after much discussion with our mechanics, we decided to publicly say 80Nm is the correct torque, even though it's not endorsed by Bafang. So, in old videos, you will hear me saying 60Nm; in newer videos, you will hear me saying it's 80Nm, swimming against the tide and haters. Still, it is what it is; in real-world exposure, tightening the motor with 60Nm won't hold it in place, and 80Nm does the job without compromising the motor's integrity. Thank you for your kind words and appreciation; I wish you all the best with your installation.

    Hi, Felipe. My name is Caes. I was born in the Netherlands in 1956 and grew up on a bike, starting on a little tricycle at the age of 4. In1987 I moved to Australia and now live on the island state of Tasmania which is a beautiful mountainous state. As I am getting a little bit older I decided to go electrical and just ordered a Bafang BBS01 kit for my Bombtrack adventure+, bike packing bike. Your Professional, trust worthy advice, is worth its weight in gold to me and I want to thank you very much for that. Keep up the good work mate. Greetings from “Down Under”👋🏻🦘

      Hi Brian , I suggest that you measure your existing bike front chainring to the end of the bottom bracket before removing it and installing the motor. With that measurement you'll be able to get a close to perfect chain line by adding different size bottom bracket spacers or a different chainring then the stock one. Chain line is very important to save you on wear and tear on your bike components.

    Does the BBSHD motor have separate wires for speed & shift sensors or do you have to buy a splitter to hook both up ???

    • @Cyberbikesau
      @Cyberbikesau  ปีที่แล้ว

      The speed sensor is one cable, the gear shifter is another cable, they have different connectors. What you have to check with your supplier is if the controller has a shift sensor connector, the speed sensor is by default coming with all motors

    • @Cyberbikesau
      @Cyberbikesau  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Noah, the front derailleur now works as a chain guide, and we want it there to prevent the chain from dropping to the inside the frame when engaging first gear.
      The gear shifter on the left-hand side was removed to give space to the throttle and LCD remote control. That's a standard here at Cyberbikes and I suggest you follow it too.

    Hi Fellipe , Question on the install , the chainring is it the stock Bafang chainring or one with more offset due to putting space on bottom bracket ? Thank you for taking the time to advise me it' truly appreciated.

    • @frcr90
      @frcr90 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marc, it's not rocket science. If you added spacers on the motor, depending on how many spacers you will need a chainring that's more concave to compensate for spacing the motor away from the bottom bracket. Usually, for up to 2-4mm spacers, you can maintain the original chainring, but everything depends on your installation. Every installation is unique. Please to share our videos with your mates and spread the message. We help each other. Cheers.

      Yes, it is normal, there are many reduction gears inside the motor, bearings, and clutches, and all of them will generate resistance against your pedalling. What motor do you have? What's an issue you're facing? Is your question related to thinking of converting a bike and wanting to know if you could ride it like a normal bike?
