Does anyone know how long would an all electric car like this last someone driving it normal as a daily driver and just stepping on it on back roads after work on the way home do y’all think it would last the same as a normal car example 200k miles
Nice overview and you did great as a substitute Topher. I was one of the early doubters as I didn’t like the name reuse, but the car has won me over. I’d buy this over a Tesla.
sweet... I'll be ready to buy my first EV in 8-10 years from now. Can't wait to see what they do with the platform in terms of getting the bugs out by then.
I know Mustangs GTsare normally front heavy and the Mach-E GT lift their nose up. But Mach-E has so much “horse” touches to it that it lifting from the front kinda suits it. It’s like a horse on two legs
Prolly the best review I’ve seen. Love the POV and the comments about it being a Mustang and why not. As an owner of past and present Mustangs and an emerging EV enthusiast It is a very compelling car.
I enjoy substitute Topher...he actually drives the car like a normal person is supposed to drive a car and caters to people that are actually looking for normal insight on how a car drives. If original topher kept any of these cars and drove them like he does in these videos that car would be in for a warranty check within months.
No way in hell will this "GT" will ever be in my driveway, I'd rather have a ecoboost mustang then that. But awesome job as always on the vid and every student gives the sub hell so don't worry about it.
@@TheVieneses model y is incredibly bad? Slightly worse handling traits traded in for a ton more space. Easy pick over the model 3 for us, when the Toyota corolla has more legroom than the 3 😂
@@TheVieneses ???? We own a model 3 long range and a model Y performance and the Y is fantastic. No doubt it would demolish this GT in any track, drag strip or auto cross test too while having longer range and being cheaper.
Depends on what you want, if you liked to drag race or track or road trip your car the Y is better, the Y is safer and had a better UI, this apparently rides better and for sure the GT will get a lot more attention on the road.
Seems that you drove this and the Mazda back to back. Not comparable and different ideologies, but I'm wondering what the Mazda has on this in terms of driving experience? It's can be oddly fun comparing stuff like this
It's all well and good--zero to the speed limit in a couple of seconds, AWD for all-season use especially in cold climates, room for 4 comfortably, yada yada yada. The prevailing issue--and one which will cause this entire movement toward EV's to be balky and not smooth--is the limitations on recharging (how long, where on the road to stop, etc). In our increasingly tense society, where time is of the essence, the level that EV's are in terms of how long they require charging and how limited the miles are between charges are still the "elephant in the room" in getting people converted from internal combustion engines (not to mention the cost). I think we are at least a decade away from making EV's the better choice, all things considered.
Id drive an ev today if i had somewhere to charge it. The way i drive, it would actually save me a little time overall as i never road trip and my commute is 10 miles.
I keep hearing it's performance is great...... Car traps 100 mph in the quarter mile..... After 60 this thing would lose to 300 hp hot hatches. Nothing like a performance variant from Tesla. It's quick for sure but Topher himself did a drag with the reg y vs the awd non gt and after 60 it was no comparison rolling.
What is the lights blinking behind the steering wheel? Is that from the camera cause I know like with some tail or headlights they will blink or flash on camera but not in person or is that intentional for them to blink?
The chime that FORD uses is a deal breaker for me. I so much would like to have a lighting F150, but not with the 3 tone chime. Unless you can turn it off in the software?
Model Y performance once you add any color without 10k autopilot is 63K. Mach E GTis 60k, Mach E Gt performance is 65k. Mach E prices are before 7500 federal credit which Tesla no longer qualifies for at this time. I’ve driven both Model Y and Mach E non-performance, I prefer the Mach E.
Is there any corrision forming on the leading edge of the hood causing the paint to bubble, are the steering wheel buttons rubbing off already? I guess we dont have to worry about evap leaks on the fuel inlets do we.
Whether we like it or not electric is the future of mustang. This 4 door version makes it so the 2 door is perfect and a smoother translation once gasoline engines are obsolete

Cleaning those wheels will be the automotive equivalent to putting your hand in a blender, especially with those dusty Brembos. They look great though.
Still think they ruined the mustang name doing this. Would've been fine if they just came up with a new name. What's next the camaro crossover? Oh wait they already did that with the blazer
I couldn't agree more. I feel bad even saying it because he does a good job, but I think it's kinda silly to have someone fill in for you on a TH-cam channel. I was excited to get Topher's opinion on this car, not an unknown guy with no established credibility other than knowing Topher. At least introduce yourself as a separate person lol This guy should have his own channel if he doesn't already
@@Fordguy1997 Oh I didn’t mean substitute Topher doesn’t do it for me. He’s introduced himself in other videos before. I meant the Mach E doesn’t do it for me.
This guy Tophers. Seriously, it's almost like he studied his old videos to try to mimic his style. Nicely done.
Yeah, it's really eerie, but in a good/hilarious way.
After reading this and watching the video I can’t, it throws me off because of how similar he sounds to Topher

It's literally the first sentence he says tho

Substitute Topher is absolutely killing it! Topher must have some clone technology we don't know about
17:18 "He is going to find some paths"😂😂😂. Could not say any better about the Pathfinder driver. You nailed it.
Bro you did such a good job reviewing this. Topher & Topher2!
Like Sonic and Tails :)
Ford cars make my favorite car chimes.
Substitue Topher does a great job as usual. Saw my first one in the wild the other day. It took me a second to register it was the Mach E.
Bro I thought this was Topher still till I read the comments 🤣🤣🤣🤣
sweet... I'll be ready to buy my first EV in 8-10 years from now. Can't wait to see what they do with the platform in terms of getting the bugs out by then.
It looks better than the base and all the Tesla models in my opinion and the interior looks nicer too
Front end looks pretty cool with EVs I feel styling should be near the top on priority
The big difference between GT and GT performance is the suspension.
Substitute Topher?!? I'm acting out today
Acting out?? Wym? I dont understand the phrase.
I’m convinced Substitute Topher is in fact a clone of Regular Topher.
He doesn’t dust off his shoes before stepping in the car I miss old topher
We love you substitute Topher

They should have called it just the Mach E
I hate it.

lets go SUBS nicely done the effort is there!
Nice review on the car and I like that you've continued (retained?) the Topher Formula. Great job.
I wish I knew about this car before I got the Ariya.
This is the Tophers identical twin, hereby known as TwoFer
TheTopher 1+TheTopher 2= TheTopher
We need another video with substitute Topher soon
I timed it at 4.2 secs to 60 in your first launch.
I got 4.7 on my timer.
Such a good Topher. A superb topher even
No sound system test?
Really wanted to hear that Bang & Olufsen system

Great video! Did you notice a difference between the magneride and the regular GT suspension?
"its a very scrumptious red" nah im done
Man this thing sounds awesome! Really gets my heart racing.
Just a note, the un stabilized camera became pretty apparent and distracting but I loved the review
Can those annoying lights blinking be turned off?, very distracting but other than that the car is awesome and love the sit
Those lights only show up on the camera, they are invisible to the human eye.
This is a beautiful car I wish it had normal handles
"You don't see this every day like you do with Tesla..." Lol. Not too long ago you would make that argument for buying a Tesla.
“You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain” = Tesla. I sold my Tesla and I’m waiting for Kia EV6 cause Tesla are everywhere lol
Glad that I will buy a fully loaded Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition.

10/10 substitute Topher
The Mach E gets hard plastic seat back but the Bronco with the waterproof vinyl interior gets carpet seat back? Come on Ford.
