No joke, this guide saved me a stampede
this genuinely made me celebrate when I got the notif I can finally finish a project
Holy hell, to say I’ve been waiting patiently for this video is a complete lie… I’ve needed help with my stampede for years
Your videos are so insanely helpful dude! TY
Same, I figured out 90% of it but was stuck, this helped so much
Thanks cap, I needed this like two years ago when I bought the metal gear kit, I might actually do it now
thank you captain for making this because this video will help save my 13 year old stampede (it doesn't work very good anymore and i mean it can barely fire the dart)
Guess I have an excuse to get my Stampede working again
Just bought a stampede that doesn't fire and have been waiting for this! Now I guess I gotta get to work!
Oh man, the stampede. Dozens and dozens and DOZENS of hours spent in there. I hope to never open it again, lol. But now it IS amazing. The biggest slippery slope in nerf (or at least one of the slipperiest).
Great guide! I've got a Stampede from the Goodwill but the motor is damaged. Is it easy to swap the gear in the motors?
Yes. The gear on the motor can be pried off and forced onto another motor.
@@CaptainXavier Thanks Cap!
Hey there, working on my Stampede and it looks like the plunger tube cover is keeping the plunger tube forward roughly 1 tooth too much and it's not firing. Any idea why this would be?
Stampede can take a surprising amount of abuse with the stock parts. That being said i love my metal gears. I wish i could get more metal parts for the rest of the internals.
I noticed descriptions of the exterior screws isn't included. Is this on purpose, or an editing error?
I thought I included that during the reassembly.
@@CaptainXavier I figured you may have done that as well, so I waited to post until viewing the whole thing. Unfortunately, it wasn't there.
...yes it is. Starting at 54:00. I explain which screws go where. Starting with the 4 small exterior screws. Then, the short large screws. And finally, the long large screws. Is that not what you are asking about?
@@CaptainXavier no, that's exactly what I was looking for. Strange, don't know why my brain didn't register it the first time I watched it. Thanks for helping me out!
My stampede has a hole on top of the plunger tube. Seems to be unique to the sonic series. Is there a good way to seal this?
if you haven't gotten an answer from another source, electric tape would work just fine
Rapidstrike when?
Project nerf has a mod guide
@@johnmurcott1273 il check it out
So can I get a bit of help? My stampede will complete a cycle when the catch for the plunger is off. When I reassemble it, it won’t complete. It’ll go about 3/4 of the way and die. It sounds like the motor no longer has enough amps all of a sudden. It has new batteries so that’s not the issue. As I said everything sounds normal when I unplug the catch at the end holding the plunger in place to the end. It’ll run all day at that point but obviously won’t fire a dart. I read that there could be resistance somewhere. The circuitry looks ok I removed a thermistor but that didn’t do anything. The only thing I haven’t tried is regreasing the gear box. As i said I can operate it manually but it is on the hard side. (All stock parts). Thoughts?
@markperry703 you said you removed the thermistor. Did you resolder anything? It sounds like you might be grounding out somewhere. That will cause a massive loss of current. It could also simply be that the motor is dying.
@@CaptainXavier yes I resoldered the wire back. Wouldn’t a grounded wire prevent it from working enough to not work at all? I don’t know. Maybe. I guess the next step is to remove all of the safety switches. Maybe one of those is sucking just enough power.
@markperry703 that would be my next suggestion too. Check your solder joint, make sure it is not touching the outer metal shell of the motor. Then remove the locks.

@@CaptainXavier ok. I’ll try and get back to you.
Yo cap is it possible for you to do a reassemby guide for the rayven, barricade, or any more of the n-strike blasters?
Yes. Assuming they ever get the most votes on the survey. The Vulcan is up next.
@@CaptainXavier Yay! :D
Wait the servey is still alive? I thought that it was dead years ago.
@@bingchillingbegood I started new ones. I post one after every new guide on the community part of this channel.
@@CaptainXavier ok because i was taking the servey from the Elite AT video guide
Does anybody know what size triangle bit is on the side of the battery tray?
Tons of locks? I haven't noticed with mine; it's been pretty uninhibited for me.
Have you tried operating it with the jam door open, the mag released pull, and/or no magazine in it?
6:43 mine is yellow??
@conraddavis2105 you should probably get that looked at by a professional...
24:49 in to the video you said be aware of that spring. Do u know where I can get a replacement spring?
From another stampede? Alternatively, some other random Nerf blaster. You could also try a spring from a retractable pen. I am not aware of anyone who sells that specific spring.
Hi I have my motoblitz wich can't fire the shotgun part anymore the air doesn't stay is it possible to fix it and stop the leaking ?
Maybe. You will need to find the leak and seal it.
@@CaptainXavier seal it with what ?
@@nightcore_nidus4633 some kind of sealant. Glue has worked for me.
@@CaptainXavier ok thank you
I just got one for $3 at my local goodwill
Nice
can someone explain why mine wont feed and where in the video it fixes this. thanks
"won't feed" is a bit vague. At what point in the cycle is it failing?
@@CaptainXavier when i pull the trigger and the dart wont go into the tube to then be fired and jamming on the little door in the barrel
@timmyturner301 can you manually load a dart into the breach? It sounds like there must be something jammed in there preventing the dart from chambering.
@@CaptainXavier i can manually load a dart into it and fire it, its just that when it cycles to put another dart in it doesn't work.
@timmyturner301 then check the dart gate. If it is not locking when the bolt moves forward the dart will not chamber.
*heavy breathing* Dude....
Question can the stampede take a deploy spring
I have yet to know since I don't own a deploy, but you can double up the Stampedes stock spring with a Retaliator spring, which is still weak enough to not stress stock gears.
