Hornisten är fantastiskt duktig fin ton och orkestern likaså! Pianostämman såpass framträdande att man nästan kan kalla detta en konsert för horn och piano. Tonspråket originellt och vacker!
Thank you for uploading the score. This is also another orchestral works by Atterberg that I love. The score is not an orchestral version but a piano version, but it is very instructive in terms of orchestration and compositional techniques. Atterberg's works are sometimes mistakenly evaluated as somewhat "Megalomaniacal," but I don't think so. His works are all delicate, graceful, and dynamic. It is easy to criticize, but creating is a task hundreds of times more difficult. A comment from an unknown composer from Okinawa JAPAN.
@@AtlantaRagtimeBand i agree with floating largery anyway ; i was thinking about russian vibrato ,russian horn play IS vibrato anywhere or enought etc ; this is a normal speaking in french academic about russian horner
Of course there's no arguing taste, as the old adage goes. But I must say that, while I have no issue with the soloist's technique or intonation, I have never been able to cultivate an appreciation for a French Horn that is made to sound like a Euphonium.
You mean because he is brassy? It sounds like that because of the narrow bore. You are probably used to large bore American horns. The Russians traditionally sounded more like this, as did the French and Czechs, but perhaps not as much today. A lot of natural horns actually sound more like this than the modern large bore instruments.
Fantastic performance.
Wonderful playing. I’ve never heard of Boris Afanasiev, but wow.
Brilliant. Captures the heroic and mysterious aspects of the Atterberg...

Indescribable beauty
Indescribable feeling
Indescribable comfort
and something indescribable
This is a paramount present for Horn enthusiasts

Phenomenal music!

Very good concerto in a recording with old russian vibrato.. i like it, thanks for uploading!
Why "old"
@@bomsetrendis780 This style of playing largely doesn't exist anymore.

I've had a copy of this concerto for decades and never heard it played until now. Nice job.
J'aime ce compositeur, ses symphonies aussi sont délicieuses.
Nice! I hadn't heard this recording before, really interesting and different from the more common interpretations.

Genius!
14:34,
Intressant att denna svenska musik spelas av ryssar! Vem spelar pianostämman och vem dirigerar?? Hornisten är bra!👍🙌
Does anybody have a full score for strings and piano of this piece? Please, let me know 🙏
If you still need it, I have the full score and orchesteral parts.
@@randomguy3209 Can you send it to me? I also want the full score, thank you.

So much better than euphonium. LOL
Nowaday hornplayers sound more alike an euphonium. If you mean vibrato, that has nothing to do with Instrument timber.
Sounds more like a Spanish Bass Trumpet to me.

It sounds like a russian horn player of great talent to me.
What year was it recorded?
I can't find the year, sorry.
