I LOVED hearing about your grandfathers coming to America… be proud! They did it the legal way.

I happen to have already seen a video about that artist that drew the city before.
He's autistic, and has traveled the world and drawn many other cities.
He even gets the exact number of windows right in every building, amazing.

Awesome video! Brian, you are my absolute favorite TH-cam cinematographer! You really have a way of capturing the moment that you’re in and an uncanny ability of conveying that emotion to your viewers. We really appreciate the effort that you and Michelle put into your videos. You are an inspiration to aspiring small channels like myself and I thank you for that.👍🏼😎

The Statue of Liberty ferry leaves from Castle Garden (large stone building) which was the immigration center up to the late 1800s. My Irish ancestors came through that building escaping the Potato Famine (1847, 1872) . My Croatian ancestors came through Ellis Island about 1907.
You passed by DUMBO on the ferry from camping. The large glass building contains the historic merry go round from Idora Park in Youngstown Ohio now known as Jane's Carousel. I rode it through my childhood and even my kids experienced it.

Hi there, Brian and Michelle I really enjoy your videos. I enjoy the places that you go to. I really like the Manhattan video because I would love to go to New York. I would really like to see more of how you are living in your van because I am thinking of getting one

Be sure to watch all videos regardless of what the title says. We include little things here and there throughout different videos in the past. We try not to show the same things over and over though to make them interesting for everyone. Also, we have an episode scheduled 2 weeks from today that may spark your interest. 😊🤓

You guys are brave. A lot of people does not equate safety, keep that head on a swivel. We grew up too close to NYC, but glad you had a good time. The 911 memorial is a must ! You did a great job of showing the beauty of NYC. As a firefighter family, we experienced 911 first hand and won’t ever go back to NYC.

That was a fantastic tour. I have no desire to go there but I can see how this would be a great way to experience it. The closest I got was Liberty Park in New Jersey and thought the skyline was pretty spectacular but since I don't do crowds, I'll probably never go into the city. Thank you for this great view of an interesting and fun place.

Very nice video. I like the way you present the places you travel - unpretentious, and informative. Your videos are also of high quality - nice colors. What kind of cameras (reasonable in price) for personal use - not for Utube, would you recommend? Thanks!

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  ปีที่แล้ว +3

The newer iPhones take great videos but they lack in low light performance or any shots taken in the direction of a light source which is what causes the light orbs. Otherwise the quality is very good and hard for most people to tell the difference with a high end camera other. We used only the iPhone in this video to keep us looking more like a tourist. Used the DJI wireless mic. We’ve been using this setup a lot lately. Road shots are GoPro Hero11. We did recently buy a new Sony full frame camera that I am still trying to get used to. Not near as easy to operate. An iPhone and GoPro are so simple. Point and shoot and use cinematic mode for bokeh background.

Wow guys. That brought back some memories. When I emigrated from Scotland to the USA in 1981 I lived in Rego Park in Queens NY for about a year. I went to several of the places in your vlog and some have changed but some remain the same. When I saw "Wall St & Broad" it reminded me of driving down there in Lizzie's 1967 Chevy Impala and getting stopped at the traffic lights by guys trying to clean your windshield & asking for money! heading to FL in a couple of weeks. Hope to see you for margaritas!

It was getting close to supper time as mentioned and we needed to keep moving along to get to the 911 memorial eat and walk back to the ferry to make sure we caught it. As many know, Michelle and I love to read the headstones at old cemeteries. (Her probably more than I though) 😂

Does the SunPass cover the entire country, or do you need other "passes."

@jeffvance383 I would Google SunPass Pro to see the list because they seem to have added states as we travel. We only use it and can see when we are charged online.

We don’t remember it off the top of our minds right now but l believe somewhere around $60 for no hookups and $115 for water/sewer and a dump station available. It’s in text in the video for everyone to find or you can go to HipCamp.com and find all the information about it under Skyline RV Camp & Drive-in, in Brooklyn.

Brian & Michelle, could you please provide the link to where we could book a site at the Riverfrount Campground? Tried to google it, but unsuccessful. Thanks in advance.

Yes, at 1:37 into the video we mention that we found it on a website called Hipcamp and give the name of the campground also.
Go to HipCamp.com and the campground is called “Skyline RV Camp & Drive-in”
You can also do a Google search for Skyline RV Camp to go to their website. 👍🏻😊🤓
