This one definitely carries Vessel's theme of walking knowingly and willingly into a bad relationship...whether it's one that bites with teeth, or tears with claws, or stands in the rain. He knows what he's doing, knows he shouldn't, and does any way. I also love how he compares his own flaws and demons to the person he's writing about. It's not I have an evil girlfriend, but "I picked unwisely and I'm glad I did" because it just feels right out in the rain.
BloodSport and Shelter lead in perfectly into TPWBYT. I will say this. Take me back to Eden may be their best album front to back, but TPWBYT is my favorite Sleep Token. Between the sound and overall vibe and the visualizer's it's a total mood. Plus, you think the lyrics are good now TPWBYT may be vessels best work...IMO! See you guys there.
I love seeing Sleep Token effect people the way they do for me. I heard them for the first time two years ago with Blood Sport (from the room below) and It took me awhile to really fall for them (pun intended.) I was in the wrong mindset at the time to appreciate them for what they are. They didn't resonate with me until after i had a terribly traumatic relationship experience and the whole trilogy felt like it was speaking to me. They helped me through one of the hardest times in my life, and I will always love them for that reason. 💜 WORSHIP.
There is nothing more satisfying than wrapping up an album you didnt think would blow you way, and ending it with a "Holy F*ck". Loved this guys! Cant wait for you guys to start TPWBYT!

This song hits the feels really hard. Both of my partners suffer from depression and can fall into really dark places at times. When they do, this is what I play for them. That chorus is my mantra for them.
This song hits different for me. I’ve lost my girl, and it was an inevitable fate. I took her in, gave her a life she didn’t have. I moved her forward in her future, but then, one day, my life changed over night. I woke up, and she told me she didn’t want to be together anymore. I knew it was coming, but this song describes it. I still want her and I still love her. But I can’t talk to her. I have to wait for a few years until we’re both healed and ready. But man, it sure was rainy when we were together. I feel bad for all of it, the stupid situations we were put in. I pray and trust god that he will guide me to her one day.
