    you r the only sitarist who has penetrated very deep in my heart, make me float high in heaven.i am so fortunate and lucky to have learnt a little bit from you when you came to mauritius.you are my eternal guru guide, always showering your blessings from heaven on me.your feet were worth touching.

      Can you please put some more light into his visit to Mauritius? Like when he came, what raagas he played. Do you have any recordings of him? I will be indebted you can share some.

      I have some Lalit recordings, with Kanai Dutta, Anindo Chatterjee, but not with Zakir Hussain. Please share the recording if possible.

      It is probably sitar. Because of the recording it sounds like that.

      Maihar gharana sitars use a bigger resonator and have an extra bass (kharaj) string but they are not surbahars.
