Pandit Nikhil Banerjee sitar sooths mind and soul. Pure melody gives peace of mind. Feel like listening again and again. Panditji left for his heavenly abode many years before but still his sitar is immortal. Pranam to my beloved Guruji.
It is about individual perception of and feeling on listening to a raga and more than what the gramme book says. And sensuality is very close to spirituality.

Its Pt. Swapan Chaudhary on the entire Album on tabla. From Raga Mand, to Dhun in Baul to this recording of Raga Jaunpuri - Kishan Maharaj never had bols this clear and crisp, he had superior math skills thats all.
I thought Jaunpuri was Dha Ni Sa. Nikhil does a few Dha Sa which is Asaavari of which Jaunpuri Raga is derived. Since these two Raga are almost identical, it is considered to better to play Komal Reshav Asavari which recording Nikhil has done. It is worth comparing.
