- Alabama hit a game-tying three to force overtime, but UCLA went on a 7-0 run to open up the OT period and never looked back. The Bruins took the win 88-78 and advance to the Elite Eight to take on No. 1-seed Michigan! UCLA had six different players in double-figures including all five starters, led by Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Jules Bernard with 17. Watch the extended highlights here.

I'd compare the Pac 12 this year with the Big Ten in 2017, maybe a slight edge with the Pac 12 having less respect
PAC 12 only has 3 teams because 1 team was eliminated by another conference school.
Let’s be honest though. All 3 are likely to lose in the elite 8. I can see ore st beating Houston, but UCLA and USC are likely going to lose to Michigan and Gonzaga

UCLA might be the only school in the nation that has a winning record against Alabama in BOTH football (2-1) and basketball (4-1).
I'm a Trojan and rarely root for the bRuins, but living in the south my hate for Alabama is fierce. This was magical, way to go ucla.

i live in california and have family that went to southern california ( as well as syracuse and alabama ) thus ( hate me if u want ) i have a rule that If a achool that has a family member is in the tournament i dont root for them ( i call it the sense of impropriety rule )

They run when it's available, but more often, they run their half court offense and take what's given. Cronin taught these boys how to be Tough, THAT'S what makes this team Great. ftm, he showed them how to be a Great TEAM.

Singleton's face at 9:04 says it all, Alabama just hit the biggest shot of the tournament and took all the momentum, but instead of hanging his head and being upset he was focused and ready for the next 5 minutes and boy did he show out

Then tell them it would happen as an 11th seed and as a play in team. Theyd send you to an assylum for even mentioning "play in"
They didn't have play in games in the 1960's, but yes is crazy to think the damage they are causing as an 11th seed

When Michigan plays UCLA they will show how much better the best of the BIG 10 is compared to the best of the PAC-12. GO BLUE!
I can edit that a little bit.
1. Loyola Chicago got robbed of a higher seed. How does this impact the Big Ten?That seeding resulted in Illinois vs Loyola.
2. Ohio State had to go up against the greatest #15 seed of all time.
3. Wisconsin got robbed of a higher seed as well. Look at how well they played UNC, even 538 sports had them as the 2nd strongest team entering the second round.
4. Maryland played well against Bama. I think if they get a higher seed(which I DON'T think they deserved, I thought they were in the correct slot) they advance to the sweet 16.
5. Same thing goes for Rutgers, except I think that they may have been a #9 instead of a #10
6. Michigan State very well could have been in UCLA's position, if not for some Questionable calls at the end of the First 4 game between the 2 of them.
In this result, I think that 2 Big Ten teams make the Elite 8, any one of these teams making it, making it a 2-2 split.
Not just the Big Ten they love to bigmouth the Big East every year I hate to mention names but some of the louder mouths rant and rave about the Big East team I will say it seems as though those ladder mouse for a little bit quieter this year
@Zamad Allah False, the Big Ten is overrated. The guard play isn't very good and the pace is what made those games competitive. Only Michigan could control the Tempo and sometimes Illinois.

We lost our big men and you could see we needed more rim protection - but we have a very efficient offense with clutch shooters so that made the day. Great win, Bruins!
PAC 12 is the best conference is basketball this year. Most underrated they have ever been but the tourney has proven this!

Yea it seems the conference was way better than the pundits thought. The Oregon st/loyola game was a grinder.
@Glenn Beck - The “upsets” in this tournament was historic. You could attribute it to just “luck”. Or you could just as easily and legitimately say, it was poor seeding by the selection committee. They ain’t gods. They could be wrong and it appears that is really the case. The PAC-12 had similar records of teams who were given higher seeds. For instance, USC was a #6 seed with a record of 24-7 and Kansas had a worse record 21-9 and was given a #3 seed. And USC ran them off the court. The proof is in the pudding...

4:11 Hopefully him planting his foot under the shot was inadvertent but I’m glad these fouls get called in college too. I seen a video earlier today talking about this NBA rule coming from a serious injury to a player. Roll an ankle just one time and the rule makes sense to give the shooter room to come down without your foot being underneath them. Bernard missed rolling his ankle by millimeters because he luckily dodged it.
i said it mid season, this ucla team is going to be tough to beat if they make it into the tournament-----and here they are. it was nice to watch typer campbell and jahvon quinerly matchup----two of my favorite PGs to watch. even with the missed games, i think jahvon had a really good year. it was hard to watch alabama go down. but ucla is a really well coached team. like i said, they're not overly flashy----they just have a blue-collar style that's hard to knock-off. i think they have a real chance in the tournament, 4RL.

The UCLA Alabama game looked more like the national championship game !! Im a Michigan fan and we got a great team !!! This west coast ball looks kinda tough to defend !!! That got inside out attack thats radar red !! But my wolverines live by the name and skills to adapt too just about everything team they've played so far !! With some melting hot styfeilling defense that converted into offense

I understood the essence of "free throws" and basically any shot imma have to take when we lost a very close game by a point and boy, I wasnt even on the free throw line.
I remember North Carolina State beating North Carolina back in 1983 I think. North Carolina was a collegiate superpower but NC State kept fouling them, and North Carolina kept missing. Free throws are crucial. Go Bruins!

@@SW.Productions Alabama had a cakewalk...a 15 seed, a very mediocre Maryland team, and then lose to a play-in team. As much as I can tell they were 7-5 against out of league teams. But they did win the SEC and the tourney so I will give them that.
