Kelly's right to some extent about QB's not getting hit on the turf. On the other side, QB's like Rodgers, Wentz, Bridgewater, Watson, etc. are getting hurt all the time. Defenders are a lot bigger than they used to be and the QB's joints aren't. Jimmy G last year got hurt in a game and a half. Brady, E. Manning, Brees are the exceptions to the rule.
