This band consists of members who have been very representative of the Florida Hardcore/metal scene. The singer was in a band called Silence. Guitarist and drummer were in Silence as well, also a band called Aglacia, playing for keeps etc.
Yes, the 1st time I heard this song, I listened to it daily for weeks straight 😂 It ended up being my most listened to song in my year end recap, back in 2022 and it may have even made it on the list in 2023, as well.
This song really kicks ass! Great freaking mix too! Reminds me of Deftones, but in it's own unique way. Edit: Just realized the vocalist has the White Pony logo tattooed on his face. Guess the Deftones influence is pretty strong. lol
Randomly found these guys and thought they were gonna be a grunge shoegaze band and was totally content with that, then the heaviness came and I was floored! Awesome sound. Then I come here and the singer has a Glassjaw tat on one cheek and Deftones white pony on the other. SOLD!
I freaking LOVE that Deftones seems to be the inspiration for the new wave of subgenre birth. There's just something so satisfying about the dynamics, ambience, and bludgeoning attack, airy 50's style crooning when it's all combined together. Out of any band out there, wearing their influences so proudly, but making it their own thing, these guys are my absolute favorite. I love Loathe,bring me the horizon is almost shameless in their "tribute" to their influences, sometimes note for note lol, and every other band bringing shoegaze back, but Moodring does it best IMO
