Our grandfather passed away last year, quite suddenly, and he was always very supportive and encouraging of our little series - we wanted to dedicate an episode to his memory, and I chose this piece of music to play during the closing epilogue. I didn't think about it at the time, but in the depths of grieving I came to associate Chasing Daylight with the many years of wonderful memories we had with him, and it has stayed with me since. This is admittedly just another message in a sea of appreciation, but I wanted to take the time to say thank you Scott Buckley, man to man, for the measure of peace that you have unknowingly bestowed upon me amid an abyss of grief.
This is the type of music that makes you ponder about life. As the track goes on, it's like the song is communicating that: "You have everything it takes to achieve great things. You are destined for greatness. It's inevitable. You are a true conqueror, in mind, body and spirit. Being a master of yourself is true power. You are human. Get out there and leave your staple in history!" Could just be me though.

I lived between two worlds: that of those who were ill and that of those who were healthy, but closed at home, with empty streets. If I had to choose a soundtrack for my feelings back then, I would choose this one.

The doc is called "Story Teller: Unveiling the Artistry of Steve McCurry" by JoelUlises. There are 2 other Scott Buckley Pieces in the video but this piece of music, tied to the picture by McCurry in a montage will bring you to tears and make your heart soar. Watch the whole doc, which is great, but the montage matched with this music begins around 8:40.

I love this music piece 💎. This music is giving me a vibe of a moment you'd see mabye only in anime or in a movie where the protagonist is struggling hard against the main antagonist, but the protagonist has a moment of realization and looking back to past memories and experiences of mentors and those who taught him to use everything he can to his advantage, to not give in when things look bleak, to keep fighting and that they've always had the strength within them to win, that they just need to believe in themselves and believe in their power that they can do it and to empty their mind of all running thoughts and feelings and to just let everything flow freely within them so that their body moves on it's own without the cloudiness of thoughts and emotions. Then after their moment of clarity, the protagonist just starts flawlessly beating the antagonist into a pulp till they defeat them for good and prove that there's only limits if you set and allow yourself to have such limits. This is music i really enjoy listening to often next to my other genres of music, well done sir. 👌🏽🔥
The fisrt time i heard this music was in a video about the "true end" of the Mass Effect epic and even if it can be felt as a peacefull journey, i saw the final battle, the end of the journey, each sharp notes of the piano portraying an explosion, a death. I see the end of the road and in the last movement the desapearance one by one of your loved ones. I see a great battle for survival even if the destiny is against it. I see the tragedy unvieling in front of our eyes. I loved it. Thank you.
