@@khadijaawais2071 hello! Thank you so much for this kind comment it has made my day ⭐️🌷 oooo and I would love to hear what your top favorite books are!!??
@@mckenziekate- A thousand splendid suns _against the loveless world by Susan abulhawa _all men want to know by Nina bouraoui _an American marriage by tayari Jones _the brothers karamazov by dostoevsky Current favourites ❤️❤️
@@mckenziekate I highly recommend 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' - it's an incredible read! I hope you enjoy it. Looking forward to your future videos. Sending lots of love!
I heard of writer's block before. Now I know its counterpart: reader's block, like when you hit a slump from sheer ennui. Poor McKenzie 😀, having to put up with masses of reading material chosen by the Booker Prize. Contemporary writing is either a hit or a miss, nothing much else
White Nights is pretty good. There is something poetic about giving yourself to something entirely even if that thing is using you or betraying you. And in the case of men it is the fact that we can love so truly and wildly and yet so tragically at the same time that it is amazing. Women are a bit more reasonable, lol. At least by my observation. Or maybe I'm the unreasonable one, and maybe I'm the one who gives himself fully to all such ideals of love: after all, I love people, but not in the way that is typical. Mine is fiery, temperamental, a bit judgy - but it is nonetheless the love I am capable of. And to me anything less is not love, instead just reasonably elated feelings. Haha.
@@scoutdarpy4465 I literally just read your comment and related so hard. Especially the “fiery, temperamental, a bit judgy part” haha We can only be ourselves I guess.
@@mckenziekate Lol. And on a real note I'm like "if I don't have an existential crisis with this girl do I really want it?" 😅 This is why most overly reasonable people bother me, I dunno if they've ever felt anything a day in their life.
I did NOT like ministry of time! I DNFd half way. It sucks! Glad to know I saved my time because I was so excited but the characters are lame and the entire novel was a mess! I’d finish a chapter and be like wait wtf did I just read?! Seems like she tried to be smart and it wasn’t working.
@@kurlykaitlyn I am so jealous that u DNFd it . Seriously I feel like it just got worse and worse. You did NOT miss anything Haha glad we are on the same page about that book
