You are OUTLANDER worthy!!! 💚 I would choose the green also... The bows & alpine stitch are ✨ perfect. Thank you for a lovely distraction from no power here in Upstate South Carolina. You are a beautiful soul Dana!🩷
That ribbon paired perfectly with the corset! I also agree that it looks better with the laces in the front, but it’s nice that you can just switch it up depending on your mood. We love options 👌
So talented! It looks beautiful! I love the touch the ribbon adds! I can’t decide if I like it better with the opening in the front or back! I think it gives a little bit of a different look either way. Really pretty! Great job! 💕
I’m just happy to have you all here! I know all 3 of you and I feel blessed just to have you as friends who come every week to support my videos!! Thank you for being here ❤❤
The corset was soo great, wimsical, first when I saw the image in the start (didn't read the text), I thought it will be another videomaker, who do medival cosplay. I love the green you used and it's just soo pretty. You did a fantastic job freehanding it.
This turned out so nice!! I've been wanting to do a little more freehand work, but it's a bit intimidating, so it was really neat seeing your process. Also new wench on the block really got me lmaooo
I love the moss green, it’s a gorgeous color. I agree it’s a great transition color between seasons. It is absolutely gorgeous both ways but I think I prefer the lacing on the back more. I think the tying of the lace around to the front is so cute! It amazes me how fast and good you are at freehanding lol also the wench stealing your husband comment made me laugh so hard lol 😆 and I can’t wait for the community project video I'm so excited to see all the squares!
Omg I’m so glad that made you laugh! I was hoping that would land with at least one of my friends 😂❤ you’re so sweet! I’m dying to get into those squares!!! I can’t wait!
Wow. You did an awesome job. I like both ways. You should make more in a variety of colours. Wearing it with a white dress shirt would be perfect, but I still love the shirt you picked for the video. ❤
The corset turned out so good!!! I love it laced up in the front! Can’t wait for you to open all the granny squares so we can see everyone’s work 😊 I don’t think I’d ever wear a corset but it looks so good on you!
Omg! Your bravery at just jumping into the design is so inspiring! Well done! The finished piece is totally giving REN fair vibes in the best way! There’s a great one in Maryland that continues through the fall. Near Annapolis. As the kids say, This would slay there! lol. I’m in my 50s but I’d say it too. Ok. I guess I just did. ❤❤😊
Oh thank you Jean!! And omg you know I have been trying for years to go to the Maryland one … I hear it’s incredible! And hey, if you think it’d slay there…. Than I know it would!!!! lol thanks for making me smile today friend 😊❤
I think the corset is lovely. I was surprised to see that you were making a corset because I was thinking about doing the same. When I initially glanced at your video, I thought it was a tutorial, and I was thinking how convenient. Maybe I can try to free hand a corset too. I wanted to make one because my son invited me to a Renaissance Faire and quite a few of the costume ideas for a Ren Faire use corsets. Nice work!
Oh how funny! Must be something in the air we all want to make corsets! Keep me updated on yours because it’d be PERFECT for a ren fair!! Id love to know what you come up with 😊🪵🍂🍄🟫🍻
It's adorable & that blouce is perfect? I like the front closure best. Pinning on the bows is a great option because you can take them off along with the ribbon lacing when you want to wash it. It looks like the center front closure needs some understructure. I would recommend a woven binding tape or gograin ribbon, maybe some of that lacing ribbon, if you have enuf. Fold it over the edge & hand sew it on, hit with a steam iron. This should help straighten out the wonky edge too.
I personally like the lacing in the back better but it looks good both ways. The textures all work together too. Could also be oktoberfest-core for those who drink.
I think you did a fantastic job on the corset. I liked it better with the laces in front except for the gap. Perhaps blocking it will help with that though. Thank you for the lovely videos you make!
Unfortunately I did block it so I’m still racking my brain about that but I’ll figure it out im sure!! At some point 😂 I’m so glad you liked it though ❤ thanks for stopping by today friend 🥰
Aw this turned out so cute! It looks great on you and will be so perfect if you have any ren faire or oktoberfest plans this fall! Unfortunately I didn't get around to making a granny square and probably won't be able to at this point 😔 but I'm so excited to see what you make with them all!
Oh Spencer don’t even worry about it! I’m just so happy you’re hear! You provide plenty of support for me ❤ you’ve been busy becoming the newest master knitter!!
Maybe add some boning (or even zip ties, like Micarah Tewers) and crochet around it for that bit that was gaping when you laced it up? That way it will be a bit more sturdy.
Most of the time, if you use a chain to bring up the yarn for the next row, it will make your edge super wonky like that. Try using a stacked SC and it will greatly improve your edges!
Essentially just take your largest bust measurement and waist measurement and then decrease as needed. For me like I said I decreased every row for the majority of the project in those couple spots! If I try this again I will try to throw something together !
Thank you so much!! I did infact just make it! It’s based on the Celeste cardigan by kuzo knits and I used Noro yarns - kakigori in shade #1 which is meant to resemble a shaved ice cone and I think that’s exactly what it looks like to me! 💓
@@BlondieKnots I should've checked your instagram first 🙈 but I am ABSOLUTELY adding this to my makes this year! I've been eyeing the pattern forever and that yarn is PERFECT 😍
So pretty! It would be perfect to wear to our local Renaissance Festival.
I love the texture of the stitch, it gave it such a unique look, I like it tied in the front the best 💕💕
Thank you so much friend! I’m so glad you liked it!❤
You are OUTLANDER worthy!!! 💚 I would choose the green also... The bows & alpine stitch are ✨ perfect.
Thank you for a lovely distraction from no power here in Upstate South Carolina. You are a beautiful soul Dana!🩷
Oh thank you Beth!!! You’re so kind. I hope things in SC have gotten better for you over there!! You’re in my thoughts !!💓💓
Lovelovelove the shirt you are wearing!
For eyelets you need a grommet tool to attach them! It smooshes them together.
I knew I was missing something!! lol thank you friend!!😂❤
@@BlondieKnots You are so welcome! Years of making cosplay costumes pays off with random crafting knowledge, happy it could be used 😂😂😂
Looks fantastic! The ribbon, with the torn edges, is a perfect addition.
That ribbon paired perfectly with the corset! I also agree that it looks better with the laces in the front, but it’s nice that you can just switch it up depending on your mood. We love options 👌
I agree! I love a good option as well!! I’m so glad you liked it! Thank you!!❤
i made a baby blanket using the alpine stitch and it turned out so beautiful!! underrated stitch for sure, the texture is so lovely
That ribbon is perfect.
Thank you friend ❤❤
Yay was looking forward to this ❤❤❤

Where can I find that Queensland cotton? I would love to try it! And that sweater for your husband looks beautiful so far!
Thank you! And if you go on the knitting fever website you can find a store near you that sells it!
