Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Downgrade back to version 1.12 from 1.13 for modding

- How to revert back from 1.13 to 1.12 for xv2patcher to work if you updated the game for DLC 9.
Steps:
1. Push the windows key and R at the same time.
2. Paste "steam://nav/console" into the search bar, without the quotations.
3. You'll get a blank screen through the steam interface, at the bottom is a text bar.
4. Paste "download_depot 454650 454651 1580963209003248449" and hit enter.
5. Now the entire game, version 1.12, will be downloaded to your "Steam/steamapps/content/app_454650/depot_454650" directory.
6. Make sure Xenoverse 2 is installed first then go to the Xenoverse root folder and delete everything inside then take everything out of the "depot_454650" folder and copy it in your dbxv2 root folder
7. And then it will be downgraded to 1.12.
8. Follow these Instruction and you will be back to modding your game as if you never updated the game at all,
but and this is a a big but your save wont work if you used it on the latest update as the save will be recognized as version 1.13, You will have to create your CAC again for each race.

okay so first use a save editor to max your stats and then in the save editor create a qq-bang that has 5 for evrything then install the divine super souls mod : xenoversemods.com/mods/divine-super-souls/ Save editor can be found here : xenoversemods.com/mods/xenoverse-2-save-editor/ When you have installed the Divine super souls select the one that is called mastered ultra instict gives a huge boost in health and thats it pretty much, hope this helps . btw it can be found in the iteam shop in the tp medals section

Right click xv2 on steam click on properties then go to updates tab and choose "Only update game when launched" then only launch game from the bin folder in xv2 directory do not launch from steam only bin folder otherwise it will update again

If anyones game chashes when they make a new charter you have to delete XVINS folder dont worry it is working for me

Are you in steam offline mode ? if so make steam online and do it again

It might not have finished downloading delete the depot and download again and wait until console says its done

All I do to keep my mods is just delete the patcher and installer. Whenever I install the new versions all my mods are still there since I still have my data file.

I did check my channel. You need to wait until it says its finished and dont go off the console and dont be in stream offline modd
for me i only have Bin and cpk in depot folder. It's normal ? Because when i copy and past to DBXV2 the game doesn't work.
Your only seeing bin and cpk because it is not finished downloading it will tell you in console when its done

Wait so if i have to delete my previous save will that save be ok since its on a different folder? As it says that "You will no longer be able to carry over save data once new save data is created." and i don't want to loose all of my progress if my backup save doesn't work. And it says Xenoverse 2 lite which sounds off, did i do the installation right?
The save will only work if it is from previous update 1.12. If you used your save on 1.13 it will not work on 1.12 hope this helps you might have to redo it if you used it on 1.13 or wait for patcher to work on newer version of the game to use that save again hope this makes sense to you

so im trying to install custom(as in not vanilla) move sets and everytime its caused me to have to uninstall everything and reinstall the base game and then redownload V1.12
ive tried both packs ive found on the xenoverse mods site and they both cause my game to infinite load loop... ive tried deleting the file and replacing it with the original from the base game aaaand replacing it via the move set replacer in the xv2installer folder ... nothing solves the issue any help or advice or links to working move sets to try out would be redonculously appreciated !!
ps when i say replacing the file im talking about the one in data system SYM char_model.something ... i havent found any x2m move set mods i like yet

Thanks for the video. I haven't done this yet. I noticed on 1.13 that the CPU characters just fly to the top of the screen when I'm not fighting them. Is this because I don't have the newest dlc? I wanted to ask someone who does modding.
Not sure I only made one video on 1.13 which was first time i played on that update so I havent rly been on that update much

how long does this usually take ive been doing this for over an hour and when i download xenoverse 2 through steam it usually takes 20 mins
Best just to wait until it says its done in console took me a while and i have 1gb download and 100mb upload speed took me about 20 min on that speed but it did say it was completed afterwards.
Will I be able to reuse my old save if I back it up and then put it back after the patcher updates?
Your save on 1.12 should work on 1.13 once the patcher is updated
is there a way to make this go back to 1.08? there is a mod i want but i need 1.08 files for it
For anyone now looking at this there is a new version of the patcher and installer so you no longer need to downgrade you game to be able to mod it 🙂

Ever time I do the run steam console thing it sends me to library and won’t let me click on console

I made the mistake of playing with the new update, hence why i'm here. So if I do this, should I delete the DBXV2 save files before launching the game or just leave them?
You can try and use your save but will most likely not work my save didnt work anymore on 1.12 when i used it on 1.13 so i had to make a new one.
@@HaZeDiStRuC7ION I gave it a go without deleting the save files and the game opens and says it failed to load the save, so I tried to make a new save, but as soon as I press enter the game crashes and I get the error ""Some of the game data may be corrupted, use verify integrity of game files in steam client".
I've tried deleting the saves, disabling the steam cloud saves, and also tried a complete fresh installation of the game and I still have the same issue. Any idea where I may be going wrong?
Delete the save game start steam in offline mode so it doesn't use the cloud save. That will ensure you have a brand new save and it is not using the other one constantly same thing happened to me and it was fixed by doing that.
It says Lizard mode is that needs to happen in the console when I paste the thing you told us?
If you mean online mode yes you need to be in online mode before you paste that in the console.

@@RatedTripleR re do proccess but remove all the files in root and depo make sure to run in offline mod after you have copied the files from the depot to the root folder. If you follow the steps carefully you will get it to work i promise you tried this over and over to make sure it works for people and i dont get errors best of luck to you bud

You will need to xv2patcher that worked on 1.12 not the updated one

Degrading your game is a bit of "disadvantage" in my opinion.
Well some people might want to mod that's why i made a tutorial to downgrade
But why would you update the game in the first place then if that's the case?

That patcher will not work and i do not have the older one. Why not just play with the later version that patch works on 1.13v2. It will not work if you pirated the game not saying you are but just saying haha
I did everything and it says this version of the patcher doesn't support this version of the game. Which xv2patcher version do i need? It seems to be that the xinput1_3 file is to blame.

I have tried this multiple times .It doesn't work it said unable to verify integrity or some thing like that I do so and it installs v 1.13
Try launching steam in offline mode after you followed the steps so it cant update that worked for me

Okay, everything works fine now, someone gave me the patcher and now it works. However my hair doesnt change for some reason, even tho I installed Hair Changing Transformation.
SS3 and SS4 with the Tail dont work
Thats good glad u got it working Is the tail stiff and are you using new transformations from lazybones if so run the installer again and make sure to tick the "Dont install tail animation option" idk why but that fixed tails for me

Go into your Steam library and find Dragonball, when you find it left click and go to the DBXV2 Properties, after that go to the Updates tab, from here click on the first option it should say "Always keep this game up to date" and change it to "Only update game when I launch it" which really means "Only update game when I click play on Steam" and since you're playing with mods you're going to be launching the game from the bin folder, this way the game wont update until you click play on Steam

I have a few times already. I've even uninstalled DBX2, downloaded it back, did the steps you mentioned and it still wants me to verify the game cache in steam. when I do it just deletes all the stuff I put in.
Try downloading the game and depot then put steam in offline mode then try the steps again also try to disable updates.
Still didn't work.
Try this
(1) Navigate to your Steam installation (by default this is located at C:\Program Files\Steam\steam.exe)
(2) Create a short cut; right-click on the new shortcut and go to Properties.
(3) Select the Shortcut tab.
(4) In the Target: field add a space and the launch options...
-silent -noverifyfiles

No not to my knowledge you need 1.12 for modding period until xv2patcher is updated for 1.13 this is just a temp solution for people who still want to mod

@@HaZeDiStRuC7ION I dont have the XV2 Patcher. I tried looking everywhere and I couldn't find it. And I moved everything from 'content' into 'common' and i installed the 'New Transformation' in there. But it didnt do nothing. I even got the 'Save Editor' and I see 'Unknown' Skills and Super Souls
That is not good You need xv2patcher for the mods to work the author removed the xv2patchee because of the new patch which he should not have done.

You need to let it finish downloading that is why you only seeing those files. It will tell you when its finished on the console.
