    Thanks Annette, I have viewed numerous videos on how to knit the 10-stitch blanker but your video is the that did "The Trick" for me. Especially the one showing the joining of the stitches. The Struggle of "The Join" is finally over for me & you did it for Mr. Thanks A Million for sharing your knowledge with me here on TH-cam..

      ME TOO! Thanx for not editing out the challenge of the pickup purl bumps ... I definitely would have been thinking oh I can't do this, what is wrong? You are most generous and graphic presentations really help without background music and trying to be cute and make jokes, etc. Bravo, thanx again!

    Thank you 🙏🏻 for the video. Finally my blanket lays down flat. I had so many puckers and bumps in the pattern. I know this video is several years old but I am finally knitting this blanket! Cheers

    😇 You are an angel to create this video. I am late to the 10-stitch blanket party, but finally one without a raucous voice and unnecessary commentary. Just clear, close up instruction - perfect for European style knitting. You saved me from so many disastrous attempts that would never end. All your ten -stitch tutorials are lovely. Thank you!

    Thank you sooooo much, Annette!! Finally, a continental knitter with captions and no sound!!! I was having a very hard time with this blanket because all of the videos I watched were English style. You helped me grasp the wraps and turns and picking up and now I'm rocking out blankets!!! You're brilliant! :)

    Thank you so much. I had watched a couple other videos and just wasn't getting the hang of it. Yes, silence is golden. I was able to watch and think and without all the talking/music distractions, picked it up right off.

      Yes, I also was able to pick up the instructions & follow along better without the talking and music distraction. Best none verbal instructional video for learning how to make The Ten Stitch Blanket. Thank you for sharing!

    I’ve never been a continental knitter - but I am going to try this blanket using this tutorial and the knitting style - makes it look so much easier to negotiate wrap and turns and short needles. Thank you so much for such a detailed and precise demonstration of the method and thank you also for clear captions and no sound! Makes it so much easier to rewind and re-watch.

    Hi Annette, I am really new to this and love your very clear instructions in the 3 videos but now I am stuck- where do I go once I finish at the end of video 3 - could you kindly provide more instructions

    Thanks for the video.
    I knitted off the straight piece to a corner where my marker is. The corner I knitted, do I then work in the same stitch again to join the rows?
    The corners are always used twice?

    Where do I get part 4 of the 10 sts knitting blanket please thank you

    • @annettemerfalen9751
      @annettemerfalen9751  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no part 4, actually. After you finish up to part 3, follow directions as in the previous videos ti make a corner, then knit up the side until it’s time to make another corner. Don’t forget to use your stitch markers! If you plan join to another block (as I have done), this is how I do it: th-cam.com/video/nP1oVsYsFyU/w-d-xo.html

    Hello thank you for showing how to do it. My Question: at the end of the last sts marker, you passed the sts over two times. I thought u need to have 10 sts? Can you explain why u did that. This is my first time doing a 10sts blanket.

      @st.gabrielaltarservercoord1472 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lucinda. It's been a while since I've made this video, but I think I was already preparing to do the next corner, decreasing the stitches.

    • @lucindajeffrey9047

      Annette Merfalen
      so should I do that then? Should I start back from counting to # 9 aging. Still a little confused. When do u change color?

    • @st.gabrielaltarservercoord1472
      @st.gabrielaltarservercoord1472 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just re-watched this segment...I'm sure I made a mistake and did an extra passing over of the slipped stitch (I ended up one stich short). Thanks for the catch!!! You're correct in thinking that I should not have done that last extra psso. I'd change color at this point (at the inner corner, prior to working the second half of the last row) so that when you start row 1 of the beginning corner, the color change shows up cleaner. I hope I didn't confuse you more!

      Are you saying to change color after the 10th stitch on a knit 9 to 1 row?

      Val Stanford There are 4 parts. The last (4th) part is a tutorial on joining the blocks together if you make smaller blocks that you want to join. Here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/nP1oVsYsFyU/w-d-xo.html
