    Not sure if you'll see this, but I was wondering if you can just do this stitch and make small round scrubby exfoliating cloths with scrubby yarn? I might just try it anyway because this video explains it perfectly what to do

    Can I alter the central start section even after I have knitted several rounds? I am unhappy with how flat it looks. I just wondered if I can unpick it from the start bit and rework!! Probably can’t but no harm in asking. Love your video by the way so clear.

    Is there a particular reason you use a long tail cast on? I’ve been knitting for over 65 years and have never heard of this I always use two needles cast in for everything Thank yiu

    • @jennyknits
      @jennyknits  ปีที่แล้ว

      No real reason really....I like the way the edge looks with a long tail cast on. But I also use a knitted cast on and a cable cast on at times.
      I'm amazed you've knitted so long, you must have started when you were 2!!!
      Take care, jen

    Hi I was just wondering would you be able to do the Double 10 stitch blanket but instead of using one colour could you do the two and explain how to join the second colour in because I’m interested in learning how to do it I know how to do the 10 stitch blanket and I love the way that you explain this this one so I was just wondering would you consider making a video about the double 10 stitch blanket

    • @jennyknits
      @jennyknits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never worked on the double 10 stitches, but I would imagine the techniques are very similar to the regular 10 stitches. Have you gone thru the pattern to see if it makes sense?

    • @QueenKas1
      @QueenKas1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jennyknits How are yes I have read the pattern the bit that makes me a bit concerned is when you’re doing it with two colours you do the 18 rows then you do the nine ridges then you do the eight ridges then you do another 10 Rogers then you do another corner but how do you connect your secondary colour is where I get confused with pattern so I was wondering if you would be interested in trying to do that because the only way that I can learn is by watching someone else do it as I have issues reading so that is why I asked would you be interested in making a tutorial for the double 10 stitch blanket thank you for your time and I love your Videos they’re very educational

    • @jennyknits
      @jennyknits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@QueenKas1 I do have some other videos on the regular 10 stitch blanket. They might help you see the techniques your pattern is trying to explain.
      The last video on this playlist shows 3 different wants to attach your columns to each other.

      This next video shows you how to pick up stitches along a side. This isn't on a 10 stitch, but once you know the technique you can apply it to your pattern.

    Can you explain also how the purl and knit in linen stitches start and when to purl the stitches in the wrong side. Thanks again🌸🌼🌹

    • @jennyknits
      @jennyknits  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I'm understanding your question, it is answered in the video. If working flat, you would purl on the wrong side and I share if the yarn is in front or back and how to purl then slip.
      If you are working in the round, you don't have any purl stitches.

    Why slip the w&t stitch purl wise? Does it make a difference in the finished look?

    • @jennyknits
      @jennyknits  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Slipping the stitch knitwise twists the stitch. Probably not super noticeable, but that is why slipping purlwise is recommended.

    I'm a very novice at knitting...is this a difficult pattern for a newbie? This pattern makes a round blanket?🤔

    • @jennyknits
      @jennyknits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this is a fairly easy pattern for a new knitter. Yes this pattern makes a round blanket. If you go on ravelry and look up this designer, there are more patterns for square and rectangle projects.
      Since it’s free, read through the pattern and if there’s anything you don’t understand look it up on TH-cam.

    • @jennyknits
      @jennyknits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rebeccadees2300 Those kinds of projects are mostly just for fun. Blankets like this I throw over the back of a chair or couch in case somebody's legs are cold. Fold it in half and wrap it around your shoulders. Those kinds of things.
