I’m Irish from Dublin. My favourite place in the country is Glendalough which in Irish means Glen of the two lakes. It’s in Co Wicklow which I highly recommend you check out on the way home. It is so beautiful. I am a legend. ☘️🇮🇪☘️
Glendalough is right up there with my fav places..the feeling in the place is palpable- even though it’s tourist heavy as soon as you start to walk round it’s so peaceful ❤
Yep I’m lucky enough to live 30mins drive from glendalough in a small village called Aughrim. Glendalough is beautiful especially on a warm summers day. It’s peaceful if you go at the right time, for me evenings in the summer. It is very busy with tourists during the day especially at weekends but it’s a big place and you can usually get off the main walks to quieter areas. Plenty of wildlife and beautiful views well worth a visit.
Unfortunately the weather this... Summer, hasn't been great, so far, but when the sun shines on this little island it's a wee corner of heaven. Enjoy yourselves.
I am a legend I’ve said this before, but what a great couple always entertain watching yous and aways have a good giggle. I’m sure Jordan will catch a fish one day 😂
So sorry you didnt get to enjoy more of Donegal we have a beautiful county im so sorry you felt you had to leave.I hope you come back again and enjoy our hospitality safe travels .
Hi mate my family are from Donegal we just timed it all wrong really the local people where lovely it's the tourist that was the problem when we was there we will be definitely going back 👌🇮🇪
Lads Donegal is a must, you only touched a tiny piece of it ! Next time, give us a shout , relatives up that way will make you feel so welcome ! Ohhh and what's with not trying Keogh's crisps.....a crime 😂😂
Welcome to Ireland guys. I live here and after watching your video I want to go and visit ! Ireland is so stunning. I'm not sure if you have already been but if not, you need to try the route between Leenane in Galway to Louisburg in Mayo. Its amazing.
Fish off the rocks when the tide is coming in. An hour before sunset in the summer is the best time, but arrive a couple of hours prior to that. Always good if there is an outcrop of rocks out from where you are. Mackerel etc will follow around the coastline and funnel through the area. You can look up tide times for any area on the internet.
On a sunny day, the sand warms up and the water at the edge gets warm as it comes in over it. When you swim out a bit you feel it get colder and when you come back to the shore, it feels like bath water. If you jumped in off the rocks it would probably still be cold. Also, the air temperature affects your perception of the water temp. If you get wet and come out of the water, the cold air makes it far worse. Especially if there’s wind. In a sunny day, it’s just far nicer.
I can’t believe you bypassed Counties Mayo and Galway! Turn back! You are missing incredible scenery and amazing places to stop over. Next time try Doolough Valley and Cross Beach in Mayo, stunningly beautiful! Safe journeys…
I was going to say the same, but it looks like they have already been there. Also, Downpatrick, the Ceide fields and Enniscrone are worth a visit. Sea-weed baths in Enniscrone are worth a visit also.
Just back from Ireland. The water was bloody freezing! Waterford, Cork, Kerry and Clare. Mayo we didn’t venture in . Water in Cumbria ( where we live) is like the Med compared to the Atlantic off the west coast of Ireland. Beaches in Ireland are spectacular though.😊
