Love Catherine Princess of Wales❤ One thing I'd like to add, even if she obviously does not have budget constraints she often rewears her clothes, she just adds different accessories. She also mixes high street and designer pieces. She' so classy she makes even Zara look expensive.
HRH Catherine Princess of Wales is such a beautiful lady who is conscious about practicality as she has been spotted wearing her garments more than once for different occasions mixing and matching designer and high street brands like Zara and M&S with such elegance and grace. It goes to show that stylish outfits can be created following the principles of French Chic and sensible guidelines for turning fast fashion into slow timeless classic style as mentioned frequently in your videos. That's why I love your channel because of your wisdom and expertise. Merci 🤍⚘
Merci for bringing that out AW - it could be thought that she looks good only because she has a higher budget than us yet she still looks fantastic in what we could all buy on the high street 🙏 I should have brought this up in the video so thank you for highlighting it 😘
Camilla, she has the figure that most of us have over 60. Catherine can wear anything with her figure but you are pointing out the basics of style. Thank you. It’s always wonderful to see how beautiful she is, inside and outside.
Speak for yourself, not "most of us." I'm 63, 5'9", and weigh 150 lbs., the same weight I was when I graduated high school. I make it my business to stay fit and trim through diet and exercise. Queen Camilla is beautiful in her own way, and certainly can be a role model for those with that same body type. As for me, I'm going for the Princess of Wales look of timeless elegance, which transcends age.👍
I too am an admirer of Carolyn Besette-Kennedy's style. Would love to see a video on her timeless chic. So enjoy your videos Marie-Anne, thank you for sharing your passion with us.
The Princess of Wales is so elegant and polished. She also has incredibly poise and I think that is incredibly meaningful even beyond her wonderful fashion choices. Great video!
Recently, I purchased a poppy red color linen dress. At first, I was not sure if it would suit me since I have never worn such a bright color in my life. However, whenever I wear it, I get so many compliments. I have the olive color skin and maybe the poppy red color is suitable for the complexion? Anyway, now I have more confidence in wearing this bright color dress. Thank you, Marie- Ann, for sharing the video!
I like this episode. If Princess Diana were alive, she and I would be the same age. Back in the day, I used to emulate her style for my office wardrobe. Princess Catherine's day style is perfect for a professional wardrobe and her casual is suited for a more relaxed office setting.
Diana was limited by the horrid styles of the 80s and early 90s though. But i think she was nearly 6 feet tall so she could carry off even the worst of that era.
Catherine always looks perfect 👌 and never overdressed for whatever occasion she is attending, and certainly is someone we can copy for the types of events we are going to. ❤❤❤
As a born-Brit and now a Canadian (Commonwealth country) I thank you for your gracious showing of our Princess of Wales. I'd love you to do a post on The Duchess of Edinburgh.
She also sometimes wears very cheap jewellery, that white one shoulder dress she re wore ladt year with the black Opera gloves and the loong dangly dramatic cheap earrings was sooo daring, I loved it
Thank you, Marie Anne, love the Princess of Wales and pray for a complete recovery for her. I always felt that good fitting clothes were essential no matter the price, but now I've fallen in love with her monchomatic outfits. Something I can do also.
She's a great, great style icon. I am flabbergasted by the fact that all colors seem to suit her. I couldn't say what season she is and I have always wondered.
I think I saw somewhere that she was a true summer. But I don't believe in those colour seasons - and the only thing I would say is that people can wear any colour except make sure to keep it at the right level for their skintone.
I wish people would refer to her as Catherine, Princess of Wales. Calling her Kate Middleton seems too casual and gives the impression that she is a friend.
Bonjour, Marie-Anne. Love the fact that you always emphasise that principles and guidelines of French Chic are always applicable for ALL women of different bodyshapes, sizes, ages and social status. She certainly is slender, but some clothes need "curves" or else it won't look right. And she doesn't have those. I'd say she knows what works and what doesn't work for her body type and station in life- and hit the jackpot with Catherine Walker and Alexander McQueen, it seems. 😉

Ms.Lecoeur, Thank you for doing a segment on Princess Catherine. She does dress beautifully. I love hats, but I prefer Full Hats. All of the women, in the British Monarchy, wear some kind of headdress, but not always a full fledged Hat. Thanks!
her make up is soooo simple that it makes her look so beautiful..it doesn't have to be like soooo trendy like how common celebrities wears their make up like the kardashains do. i have learned a lot from princess catherine when it comes to simple accessorizing and simple make up looks.
hello Marie-Anne Thank you for your videos. I think you must be wearing a lilysilk blouse. Beautiful. I have bought no less than 3 blouses and find they are absolutely too short. I sadly gave them away. I find lilysilk is best for short people. Maybe you could mention this when you talk about their beautiful blouses... kindest wishes to you
I am curious as to the materials the Princess wears. Like cotton? wool? silk? Does she stay with natural fibers or does she also wear some polyester and rayon (man-made). He wardrobe is amazing and she always looks put together and beauitful
Wonderful! I also love Catherine's style, although my body shape is quite different. I see her as an inverted triangle, do you agree? She is very thin and has a well defined waist, yet very narrow hips. I find it noteworthy that lately she has been wearing quite exaggerated shoulder lines, rather than rounding out the hipline. She always looks exceptionally good, though. Personally, I think a bit part of this is her incredibly warm and caring essence, which permeates everything she does. What a winner. Thank you for this thoughtful video, dear Marie-Anne.
You presented an excellent analysis of the Princess’ style and how we can learn from it. Most of us don’t have access to the resources that she has so the tips are really appreciated. What I think would be fun to know is how she would dress if she could wear anything she wanted. I wonder if she has a fantasy self and has a Pinterest board with all of the outfits she wishes she could wear, but because of her position in life, cannot wear.
Does anyone know the ID of the blouse Marie-Anne is wearing in this video? I love it! Thank you for the tips on getting Catherine's style as well, she is flawless!
I see how she wears 2-pce knit suits. I've always loved sweater dresses but they seem to mostly suit a perfect physique because of the way the cling. With the ribbed hem of the top and the slight blousing above it, I see her suits are far more flattering. It also looks like when she finds the perfect coat or pants, she orders multiples in several colours.
Would like to find a quality wool 3/4 length coat that is slimming; a double breasted coat adds so much bulk which is fine in size 2 but not size 12. I’ve been looking all season but bulky coats and puffers only are found in the USA.
I love that the Princess mixes in less expensive, high-street, items with her mostly designer wardrobe. I was glad to see her wearing “my outfit”, the Sezane ecru Naelle skirt and matching sweater (I forget the name of this piece). I already had this one, and the same set in brown, love them. I’m a big fan of Sezane style and it’s affordable, too. The Princess also does what I value in my wardrobe: using restraint, or as our dear MA says, simplicity, an essential ingredient of elegance, along with high quality and perfect fit. Finally, a more elegant style is valued again, after nearly 25 years of “More is More”, piling on the logos, etc. I want her beautiful Alexander McQueen white trouser suit! I’ve been looking for a true white, not ivory or ecru, suit in top-quality, natural-fiber fabric for years! It’s probably over my, quite large actually, wardrobe budget.
MarieAnne its casual wear that I really struggle with the most. For workwear or more dressy going-out clothes I find it easier to look more chic, but casual clothes - I dont know what happens, I just turn into a complete frump and I just cant pull it off 😢
As much as I enjoy watching your videos, I wonder what percentage of ladies could afford to buy branded clothing and follow royal fashion. Could you please share information on how to be elegant on a budget.
Kate Middleton has impeccable taste with a definite British flair. Although, personally I prefer Meghan Markle's style because it's more reminiscent of the French style. It's less sugary feminine than KM's and it looks more empowering... I love the clean lines, monochrome, tailoring, architectural details and her not being afraid to wear black.
I loved The Princess of Wales style from the beginning. Thanks so much for breaking her style down. She is definately one worth looking at for inspirations. 💗
Yes, get friendly with a good seamstress especially if, like most of us, you can't afford a personal tailor. Our bodies change with pregnancy etc and a seamstress can help with those alterations.
There was a time when I used to see the mannequins in store windows dressed in tailored clothing like skirts with matching blazers. Now it's all sweatpants, crop tops and cheap plaid shirts lol.
Since 2016 who would you say has been her greatest style inspiration. Her "style" has noticeably, and suddenly gone from coat dresses and prim frocks (absolutely NO pant suits) to something quite a bit outside of her wheelhouse and making it difficult to see the thread of progression. Prior to this off course she looked to HMTQ, P Diana, but also CP now Q Mary, Q Letizia amongst others. A penny (?) for your thoughts.
I believe the trouser suits became more prominent after the death of Queen Elizabeth !!, who was a stickler for old-school protocol. I am certain that Catherine did not wish to cause offence.
An interesting question Star she has surrounded herself with a good team and I am sure they are feeling their way into a look that is her own, reflects her position both current and future and manages to tread that fine line 😃
Lovely video. The Princess of Wales is the epitome of elegance and beauty. That hair, that smile - she is perfection. I wish her well in her recovery from surgery. I cant help mentioning that mother-in-law Diana really hit her straps in the last years of her life, particularly after the divorce. To me Diana will always be my number one sartorial icon. I would love to have seen her style adaptations over the years into her 60s. Thanks Marie-Anne .
The Princess Royal is not actually known for her fashion sense (and I mean this in the kindest possible way!); but she dresses sensibly and appropriate for the situation. 👍 And when it counts, she shakes off the straw and hay from the horse barn and shows us what "royal princess" looks like. 😉😊👍 AND (very much like the French women who don't get fat 😉😄) she has kept her trim figure for the last 50 years or so! 😳👍 (briefly interrupted by having two children)
Hi Marie Anne...haven't commented in a long time... I really want to add wool trousers to my wardrobe...pls will you reccomend quality affordable affordable trousers for a petite me with long legs ...usually a 26" waist 34" long....5'4". Black... You r as always...amazing.
I have met her in person and she has a model's height and figure. Strangely, the camera seems to make her look heavier, but she is in fact pencil-slim.
@@maryokeefe5351huh! Strange how that can work. On the opposite, the general thoughts on Queen Letitia are usually that the is so skinny and tiny. Those who met her claim that she is slim but not as skinny as she looks on camera. And anyone would look tiny when standing next to King Felipe! 😄

Hats do add that elegant touch Lisa ... but not fascinators 😬
She seems to stick to the classier high street brands like Jigsaw, Whistles, Reiss and Hobbs. All great shops! 👍 x
her make up is soooo simple that it makes her look so beautiful..it doesn't have to be like soooo trendy like how common celebrities wears their make up like the kardashains do. i have learned a lot from princess catherine when it comes to simple accessorizing and simple make up looks.
Simple is far far better RMB 👏 the Kardashians have make up lines to sell which is why they use so much 😉
casual frumpy? hilarious new category of personal style!
hello Marie-Anne
Thank you for your videos.
I think you must be wearing a lilysilk blouse. Beautiful. I have bought no less than 3 blouses and find they are absolutely too short. I sadly gave them away. I find lilysilk is best for short people.
Maybe you could mention this when you talk about their beautiful blouses...
kindest wishes to you
It is indeed by LilySilk 😃 it is an old one not available now but I will try to remember to mention them x
I am glad you enjoyed it Mary and can see past her silhouette to the lessons her style can offer all ladies 🙌
Your blouse and pin are gorgeous.
I am sure she has a vision board Wannabe and she is seen a lot in high street brands
Does anyone know the ID of the blouse Marie-Anne is wearing in this video? I love it! Thank you for the tips on getting Catherine's style as well, she is flawless!
It is by LilySilk LucysMom x
I think she really suits ribbed knits and fine pleats. Just an observation. 😊
I think that is true Dingle I have seen her wear the exact same dress in 4 different colours!
Fabulous video. She is a good model for elegance and ettiquette.
She is indeed Morgan ❤️
I like the blouse you are wearing. Would love to know where you got it from.
It is by Lily Silk Tonya x
Would like to find a quality wool 3/4 length coat that is slimming; a double breasted coat adds so much bulk which is fine in size 2 but not size 12.
I’ve been looking all season but bulky coats and puffers only are found in the USA.
Exactly! A fine wool tailored slim overcoat is seemingly not offered in the US!
I want that white AM suit as well Kimberly 😃 so glad you picked up that she is very often seen in high street brands as well as top flight brands 😘
MarieAnne its casual wear that I really struggle with the most. For workwear or more dressy going-out clothes I find it easier to look more chic, but casual clothes - I dont know what happens, I just turn into a complete frump and I just cant pull it off 😢
Watch here Janine th-cam.com/video/aqTv-eDjVXM/w-d-xo.html I hope it gives you some ideas x
As much as I enjoy watching your videos, I wonder what percentage of ladies could afford to buy branded clothing and follow royal fashion. Could you please share information on how to be elegant on a budget.
Once again we can take our cue from Princess Katherine who is often seen in high street brands
😘
Yes, get friendly with a good seamstress especially if, like most of us, you can't afford a personal tailor. Our bodies change with pregnancy etc and a seamstress can help with those alterations.
Princess Catherine Of Wales Is Amazing And Fabules Women !!!!! Support From Balkan !!!!!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉!!!!!!
THANKS!!!!!!!
Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, she has great style
There was a time when I used to see the mannequins in store windows dressed in tailored clothing like skirts with matching blazers. Now it's all sweatpants, crop tops and cheap plaid shirts lol.
Yes indeed Frost Flower 🙁
Sophie is also an amazing woman and stylish
She is indeed 🙏
Kate is my type icon!
❤️
Lovely video. The Princess of Wales is the epitome of elegance and beauty. That hair, that smile - she is perfection. I wish her well in her recovery from surgery. I cant help mentioning that mother-in-law Diana really hit her straps in the last years of her life, particularly after the divorce. To me Diana will always be my number one sartorial icon. I would love to have seen her style adaptations over the years into her 60s. Thanks Marie-Anne .
🙏
Princess Anne has always had style and revolutionised how the royal women dressed
She is an inspiration Fiona and a true stalwart of the Royal Family ❤️
The Princess Royal is not actually known for her fashion sense (and I mean this in the kindest possible way!); but she dresses sensibly and appropriate for the situation. 👍 And when it counts, she shakes off the straw and hay from the horse barn and shows us what "royal princess" looks like. 😉😊👍 AND (very much like the French women who don't get fat 😉😄) she has kept her trim figure for the last 50 years or so! 😳👍 (briefly interrupted by having two children)
Princess Anne believes in buying quality and classic style, and keeping it for years.
The Princess of Wales is definitely a good role model, she’s so beautiful 🙂
❤️
Hi Marie Anne...haven't commented in a long time...
I really want to add wool trousers to my wardrobe...pls will you reccomend quality affordable affordable trousers for a petite me with long legs ...usually a 26" waist 34" long....5'4".
Black...
You r as always...amazing.
Bonjour Susie - good to see you again Reiss had a lovely Petite collection - not sure of they had any wool trousers but worth a look 😃
Kate, Princess of Wales, is my absolute favorite 💖. Thanks for this awesome video! Maybe do Queen Letizia of Spain?
👍
Can you do queen Maxima of the Netherlands?
I have met her in person and she has a model's height and figure. Strangely, the camera seems to make her look heavier, but she is in fact pencil-slim.
I will see what I can do 😃
@@maryokeefe5351huh! Strange how that can work. On the opposite, the general thoughts on Queen Letitia are usually that the is so skinny and tiny. Those who met her claim that she is slim but not as skinny as she looks on camera. And anyone would look tiny when standing next to King Felipe! 😄
I've loved your style tips for a long time. This video brought me such joy. Catherine surely is chic and stylish. I'd love to see you do a similar video on princess Sophie, the duchess of Edinburgh. My other style favourite is now Queen Mary of Denmark. As an Australian woman I feel so proud that she has such style. Keep doing your beautiful clips Marie Anne. ❤
I am glad you enjoyed it Jennifer 🤗 I will keep producing if you keep watching 😘
I absolutely love Princess Catherine and her demure yet elegant style. She's beautiful inside and out and i pray for her health and soon complete recovery. ♥️🙏
🙏
