  • All the rocky soil is out, ready for topsoil. I finished the cut and removed about 280 yards of material from this side of the driveway so it will take about 28 loads of topsoil to fill it back in. Should make the landscapers lives easy to dig in all that dirt. I also got the site cleaned up and some dirt spread under the dogwood tree so they can plant some shrubs there. With a lot of rain moving in over the weekend I hauled everything back to shop for some much needed maintenance. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #Landscapeprep

I thought you were having an uneventful day on that job until you showed up on Saturday and gave a tour through the stone piles. Man somebody seriously miscalculated what they needed. They lucky they have you there taking care of that stuff. You keep on doing such a good job, the lady of the house will start bringing you some milk and cookies during the day.

lol I shouldn’t have mentioned Saturday people would have just thought I got a ton done. Yeah it’s crazy how much they over estimated the stone. Hopefully she will 😁

    Looking gooderer!
Our crops have been parched this year. They finished cutting the beans on Friday and we got three inches of rain on Saturday and Sunday. 🙄

Thanks! Yeah I heard it was a terrible year for beans

The amount of leftover stone was incredible! Smells to me like maybe LOTS of last minute change orders happened along the way? That's enough stone to build a small house, LOL! Nice job spreading around that dogwood - we thought sure you were going to bump into those branches but with those cat-like reflexes, you were able to steer clear - nice job. Now we just want to know how much soil washed away - probably not too bad since you kept that material up where it was more flat.

That’s what I was thinking too we stone a whole other house lol! Thanks it was a little tricky working around the tree. I plan to go by tomorrow to see how bad it washed out. Appreciate you guys watching

@eliteearthworksllc My dad used to do stone masonary jobs on the side back in the 70's. My 2 older brothers and I were his 'chippers'. We would fit the stones and then clean them up and chip around the edges for a cleaner look. The stone you were moving we called 'cut stone'. We did many jobs with it. So don't toss it as it's worth a lot of money.

Gettin' pretty good at movin' around that tree-bush-shrub thingy aren't you?
Can't believe somebody hasn't smashed it in the last 2 years of building this place!

Couple inches so far here in eastern Nebraska. First rain in months. All that top soil should grow something.

I hope the property owners appreciate your ability. That was a strange job in so many ways. To bad about the left over stone. Decision needs to be made before the pallets fail.

You know, I believe had they planned a little better, your job would have been a heck of a lot easier. It would have been a lot quicker to do that same work before the concrete driveway was poured. Oh well, I guess anybody could do it if it were easy. Keep up the good work brother.

That’s my thoughts been way cheaper and easier before the driveway. I could have got the 2150 in there. But oh well I guess keeps it exciting lol

I don't know much about a lot of this so can you tell me why you decided to dig through what looked to be VERY hard and rocky dirt with your bucket vs putting on the ripper blade I have seen you use before to loosen it up first? It gave me a headache just watching that bucket bouncing through that stuff! Thanks again for the great videos!!

@@rockon-wbfqlkjqhsydic72683 this actually wasn’t as hard as some of the stuff I use the ripper on. The 1 foot bucket had rock teeth on it so it does a pretty good job on ripping through the rock. Plus all the dirt has to come out so I opted for the bucket
