getting type 4 natural hair defined and wash no go that is stretched and lasts for longer than 7 days without moisturising again is a key! I love using strong holding gels such as eco styler, Wetline extreme and gummy gel

I TOTALLY understand everything you're saying and agree 100%. These are the very exact reasons I want to heat train, but my hair is fine so I'm nervous about it. You really hit the nail on the head about not having to worry about your hair when you want to run out or just chill. I've been wearing wash and go's for the past 3 years and my hair looks so nice when it's curly, but it's limiting, I only can wear it in wash n go's b/c that's low maintenance but twist outs frizz easily and don't look good past the first day. You really summed up exactly how I feel about heat trained hair.

I’m glad someone feels the same 😭 cause sometimes I think It’s just me & yes I have worn wash n gos for long enough to have made an informed decision so I’m sticking with the straight and haven’t felt any regret yet! Hope your heat training journey goes well xxx

Im tempted to attempt being a straight hair natural, especially since im expecting a baby and i think it'll be easier to deal with...but i live in Florida. Lol this state in the US has disrespectful humidity 😩

Try mini twists? There's a lady, coilydiaries, who lives in Australia and just had a baby, and is doing great with here natural hair journey.

That South FL humidity girl same, it's the only thing that's standing between me and becoming a straight hair natural (well that and my fear of heat damage/breakage)! Nadine got me feeling jelly for sureee.

Can you just blow dry and pin it up in a cute style? I wear my hair blowdried majority of the time especially in the summer because it's more forgiving in humidity.

@@BionAvastar3000 I can check it out, though I've never done twists before. I've only done wash n gos my natural journey

@@cfoster6804 I have a lot of hair and it's at the weird length from doing a chop almost a year ago. I still can't even put it in a bun yet. I thought maybe if I straightened it and did a cute short hair cut in the meantime it might work, again it's just the humidity. I worry I'll end up using more heat than necessary and end up damaging my hair more to beat the weather. That was the story if my life in my middle, high, and college years until I decided to just embrace the curls and coils

Your hair is gorgeous. I always find that my hair swells up from the humidity in the summer time when I wear it straight. It never stays straight so that's why I only wear my hair straight in the cooler months like fall and winter.

Yeahh I hear that! Humidity sucks but my hair is trained now it literally stays where I put it except my roots at times!xx

@@naturalnadinee wow can't wait to get my hair trained but then again I may want to go back curly in the summer time so I don't know! Lol

Stretched/straight hair is better for me for now. When I say straight I mean puffy straight not silk pressed. In the summer I’ll stick to protective styles.

I think I will incorporate a similar style, a blowout for the most part will suffice for my hair I reckon thanks for the tips xx
