    This vid is so specific, love it. I was undecided between the m5 or ms6, but this vid being how detail it is, clears out all my doubts that all i need is the m5-111. Thanks alottt.

    Nice review. I have a hard time learning to drive a stick shift, I could only imagine trying to learn to drive a tractor. This city chic is going to learn a lot. 👍🏻

      Sandy A7 tractors 🚜 are much easier to drive then a stick shift car. They are just intimidating because they are big. Most of the time you not driving faster than a walk. Thanks for watching.

    Heh. Got a smile out of me during that mower hook-up. I don't have a Kubota (yet - strongly considering the M5-111), but hooking up my rotary mower is either a breeze or a nightmare. Mine is an older mower and the prop stands are wonky, so it's almost never sitting up straight when I go to use it. Farm life. Gotta love it! Great review! Thanks!

    Great review on the tractor and Glad to see another Good Kubota Customer..... I have been running Case IH tractors but in the last few years we have been changing over our tractors under 200 horsepower to Kubota and also on the Skid Steers. And i have a good realtionship with my Kubota Dealer and the Kubota Dealer Rep is a great guy so be sure you reach out to your Kubota Territory rep

    • @SLCFarms
      @SLCFarms  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      AJ my local dealer will not give me his number. I wanted the rep to come see the unit in question and they would not even ask. Then corporate was no help told me to go back to dealer. Only after a post on fb was made another dealer stepped to the plate and said lets get this thing fixed. Fingers crossed 🤞 they make me happy. I don’t wanna switch brands but will do if necessary. Thanks for watching.

      @@SLCFarms okay thanks for letting me know that I will do a little digging on that corporate shouldn't be doing that and you should be able to meet your Kubota rep locally especially if your dealer has any open house things for customers he should be there to talk to and handled anything or take it to his engineers whether it's construction or AG

      Ive probably spent $200,000 + with that dealer on new Kubota amd probably another $150,000 on other equipment, parts, etc. i cant even get them on the phone i have to go there. Said they don’t check there vm anymore lol. They wont stay in business after dad passes. Sons are worthless. I will never darken there doors again and will tell everyone in town my story. Heck day my baler caught fire was day before thanksgiving, salesmen said couldn’t sale me a new baler that day because of thanksgiving and to come back monday. Lol. I had $6,000.00 worth of hay on the ground with more rain coming. Ended up paying another guy to bale it for me then found new dealer.

    Dealer support is very important. My kubota dealer is great to work with, and I hope the new one you are going to can help you out. We have a pull type kubota discbine, and it cuts better than any other mower I had. One thing I did notice is your top-link on your 3pt is off center. I believe you should have the mower adjusted on the tractor so the top-link comes out straight (if that makes sense to you lol). Nice in-cab review!

    • @SLCFarms
      @SLCFarms  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      DeHaven Family Farm thats where the setup is incorrect on the unit. If the pto shaft isin line the top link is out of line. No one including the manual can tell me. Well the new dealer did but original dealer would not even come to field to see my issues. They could have easily had a hay rep out if they didn’t know. I have since found out Kubota took away there ability to sell hay equipment.

    Hope you have better service out of cutter than we did. We bought one new and cut only 60 acres and every bearing in cutter bar burned up and oil ran out of seals. I had just checked the oil about an hour before so I know it was a the correct amount. Kubota finally covered it under warranty but we told them we did not want it back they refunded our money. Bought a Krone best money I've spent on a cutter.

      My first one probably had 10-12k acres through it before trading for this bigger mower. First one was a DM1027 this one is a DM2028 it probably has 4K acres through it now been great.

Want a newer cab model that will pull a 15' bat wing in the open pastures and probably keep the open rops 9540 for the grunt work around trees. Looking @ NH T4 models as well...

    Thanks for the video just to be honest I don't care for Kubota. But you do a good job representing it. Do you have liquid in the back wheels do you feel it needs more weight sometimes. My John Deere 5075m has no weights on it on the back and it counterbalance really nice. Hope you have a great day thanks again

    • @SLCFarms
      @SLCFarms  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Farming Life no ballast in the tires the way I ordered this tractor it specked out over 8000#. Now my smaller Kubota I added water and weights to the rear. We didn’t farm when i was young but the neighbor had red tractors and i just learned to not really care about brand as long as it works. In my area there are more Kubota dealers then anything else so i went with the brand i felt would be the best for my operation. I do own 2 deere items and a couple different colors of red and yellow as well.

      @@SLCFarms You will most probably need the hydralic model..... Because the krone mowers do not pivot at the end of the cutterbar so they can be mounted ridgid.... where as the others may need some up or down positioning for proper cutter bar operation......Ours were Hydralic but we removed it and added the ridgid mounting brackets......

      A buddy of mine has a krone 3pt disc mower, he was complaining about hooking it up also , his dealer showed him how to release the spring tension I believe? on the cradle ? I think it was simply moving a pin or a latch and it let that cradle move around fairly easily

    The loader on my M5 had to have the lift and the tilt cylinders rebuilt. That mostly fixed the issue the only thing that still bothers me is that the tilt will leak backwards with the tractor sitting for a few days. I had an M6040 before this one and it was only in the shop once in 8 years and that was for a cylinder issue on the loader and it was covered by warranty.

    • @SLCFarms

    My loader leaks down as well. Even had to have both sets of cylinders repacked under warranty but it was a PIA to deal with. It was so bad at first that with a load in the bucket you couldn't drive quarter of a mile with a load in the bucket without having to raise the bucket, Have you had to have your DEF header replaced yet?

    I finally got my new M5-111 and the loader constantly leaks down. It's enough that if you're bailing hay you have to keep a close eye on it or you'll be plowing dirt. My M7040 never leaked down like this. It's not in the cylinders, it's in the loaders valve. I'm sure it's a cheap valve that has loose tolerances because the hotter the oil the faster the leak down. Everything else seem okay. Plenty of power and a much nicer cab and ride than my M7040 was. Did they ever fix the hyd. leak down on yours or did you just trade it off?

    • @SLCFarms
      @SLCFarms  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Traded it off nothing but front axle rebuilds (4 times) loader and rear remotes leak down emissions problems.

    • @RJMachine62
      @RJMachine62 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SLCFarms Sorry to hear they couldn't fix it for you. Dealers love dishing out the front wheels for a wider stance even though to manual says not to. With the additional weight from the loader and whatever your carrying, it loads the front bearings up and ring gear. IOW, causes severe front axle issues. They were going to dish mine out to until I asked them to look in the manual and explained why you can't. If you do lots of loader work or hay work with the loader, it will wipe it out in no time.
