There is one God, the Father, and He is the God of the Old Testament, and New. John 8:58 "Before Abraham was, I AM." Exodus 3:14 "thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." Genesis 1:26 "Let Us make man in Our image" John 1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" John 17 "I am in the Father, and He is in Me" It's one God. The same God. He makes the rules. This world is His footstool. Christ is all throughout the OT. The fourth man in the furnace of Nebuchadnezzar. The man clothed in linen in the visions of Ezekiel. *Our* image, in Genesis. Who did Jacob wrestle with? All that said, I greatly enjoyed listening. Apologies if I'm misinterpreting. God bless.
Yes and no, the Father is not Jesus nor the Holy Spirit, yet these are one God, not dividing the persons nor confusing them. Jesus not being the Father is the important point to highlight here.
@@jakebarnes3054 I didn't say the Father is the Son or the Holy Spirit. I said the OT Father is the NT Father. He makes reference to a "different" God in the OT. It's the same God.

Jesus came down becasue there is too many generational layers of sin to navigate righteousness on our own. Not that we ever could. God had to create a Son who is the vine of light that could bypass all the mess we are born into. Just like a plasma ball when we as living beings touch it, when we accept that light, it connects with us. Lets the Lords perfect light fill you up. He already delivered us, but you have free will whether to accept it.
Your point about so many generation layers of sin is really helpful to me. Appreciated. The notion of touching a plasma ball does not. It suggests to me a magic sort of thing. I'm certain it's more a matter of accepting a great difficult teacher for all the years of work and dedication on the part of the students that that requires. Disciples. Discipline to Dedicated devoted students. It's what I've decided to be and I find it life itself and immensely joyful an endless effort.
As above so below. You chose which way to look. You decide. The truth is always the truth no matter how few believe it. Once you can see the sunset you can't unsee it. Sounds like you should probably congratulate yourself for going within. Is it hard to deprogram ourselves. Of course. Is it any harder then deciding to change. Nope. I look forward to your future reflections. It's about time people took philosophy seriously
