It works for me so the big problem for me now is maybe my PC's motherboard is the cause why my PC is not turning on. :(
Maybe... Try to reset the BIOS by removing the battery for a few minutes. Also check the power button. You can trace the wires from the power button to the socket on the motherboard (the connector is usually marker as PW SWITCH). Remove that connector and try to short those pins with a screwdriver. If it turns on your PC then the button is faulty if it still doesn't help then something's wrong with your motherboard.
I wanted to use one of these power supplys fow a project as they are super cheap snd powerful but was usue about the activation wire so thanks for this vidio as it answered my question perfectly 👍

It doesn't turn on even after connecting green with black....
Hi, i connected my power cable to my psu while the psu was on. While connecting i heard electricity and now my psu is dead. Is it my fault the psu is dead or was it just a faulty psu?
Try to unplug your PSU from the outlet and wait for a few minutes. I'm pretty sure it will be fine.
will the power supply be able to power up my motherboard if the blue wire gives -10.6v? or will it require -12v to work?
-10.6v is too low it must be atleast -11.50volts. Check capacitors in your PSU.
This didn't work on an server ATX font. ACBEL Model API4FS35-470G. Do you know how to turn this server font on, so i can use it as auxiliary power to a graphics cart on other computer? Thank you
actually should be the same process just short the green wire with any black one.
I want a silent pc fan instead of the trusty small black fan that is also loud on min to give me a slightly sweet breeze next to me in bed.
Yeah, those with a big fan are pretty quiet and the speed of the fan is automatically controlled.
@@ElectronicsComputers It worked and I am impressed about how good it worked. Now I want to find more pc fans lost around the house and later more about the other voltages and what can it do, like powering car gadgets in my room.
