That was a nice junket through a barren desert. It looked like some people might have living out there a while back but probably everything drying up discouraged living in such an empty place. When you were driving back and you said ‘that’s probably the lake over there but it’s dried up a lot’ we’re you talking about the Great Salt Lake? I wasn’t sure if you were that close. My family took some lengthy trips out west when I was little and Route 66 was the way west before all the interstate highways. I remember how fabulous it was at dusk when all the restaurants and roadside taverns and motels turned on their neon lights. It’s really a shame that it will never be like that again. I felt like I was in heaven. Everything was unique and not the repetition of sterile designs easily recognized coast to coast 🫥. Thanks for showing us some very unique places and I always enjoy watching you cook 👨🍳. 👍☮️🌞🚐🌵🐾❤️

Some good drone action getting excellent scenery in this adventure. Jade was just enjoying herself the whole while. Be weary of Owls, they can be aggressive. Beautiful birds that they are. And I guess those roads probably even gave you a headache with that shaking and vibrating. Could not have endured that. You are braver than I getting in that water with just your birthday suit lol. Smoke Creek and Bonham Ranch hot springs is a beautiful place. It’s unfortunate the ranch was burned down. I’ve spent a lot of time out there and it’s full of life. Unfortunately a friend of mine died in the pond on the other side of the hot springs and it’s a place of sorrow now.
How did your friend die in the other pond? Sorry for your loss

Not a boring drive video at all. It might be interesting to document what emerges as the lake dries up. The problem with taking a dio in hot springs when it's cold, is getting out. Brr. You know I'm a Spam fan. The museum is out my back door and up the road a piece. When you come for the Barbeque Bash you'll have to visit the museum. The categories for the competition are beef, pork, chicken, and Spam! See you on the road. Or TH-cam!

Oh looks like a pretty sweet spot to relax! Got 340 hrs of vacation to burn and am making a list for trips. My dad got a RV and he wants me to take it out (scared to but will when the weather gets better).

Dude, that stuff that you think was underwater has never been underwater in my lifetime (I'm 52 and lived in this area for a few years). Locals call it "The Pinnacles" and the ironic thing is that there is a hot spring pool that you can get in at that very spot. There's also some great cliff jumping into the lake there. "Pyramid" is super deep and is basically the remnants of an inland sea (Lahontan). The Truckee river feeds the lake and there is no outlet. Definitely NOT drying up. I envy you, man! Happy travels.

If you want information on Hot Springs check out Sara channel Wonderhussy. Pyramid Lake is where we used to Waterski back in day. If still in CA check out Cerro Gordo too Brent channel Ghost town Living. Safe travels always windy in high desert. Sara lives on edge of death Valley she from Vegas.

Amazing hot spring pool.
I work on the railroad tracks out there, and I do not love that drive. I feel for ya on that one. Luckily, there's a bathroom right when you hit pavement because it shakes the piss out of ya.
Please remember that some hots springs around Pyramid Lake are off limits unless you are a member of the local tribe. The tribe Rangers will not hesitate to write you up for violating that policy.
This one is open to public I did my research
This one is actually not public. And is indeed on the reservation border. However I’m unsure how strict they are or how often they patrol. This area requires the day use permit.
