Above & Beyond: Little Something at SSE Arena Wembley, London 2015 (Official Aftermovie)

Friday November 13th 2015 saw thousands of fans fill Wembley Arena to support Jono Grant of the internationally renowned British dance act Above & Beyond (together with fellow members Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki), for a special gig in memory of his sister, Charlotte Morley, who died suddenly earlier this year. Today, the band have released a short film that tells the story behind the fund, set to Above & Beyond’s song with Justine Suissa ‘Little Something’, an ode to parenthood.
The sell out concert raised more than £222,000 for the Little Something charitable fund, set up in Charlotte’s memory, to support pregnant women and mothers with perinatal mental health difficulties.
Jono Grant commented: “It was fitting for this show to be a legacy for Charlotte, to honour her dedication to the perinatal mental health service and recognise the work she did. We will make sure her memory continues through the Little Something charitable fund.”
Dr Jo Black, Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist and colleague, commented: “We’re very grateful to Above & Beyond for all they have done and the amazing sum of money they have raised. We are dedicated to carrying on Charlotte’s commitment to this cause by making best use of the Little Something fund in supporting women and their families into the future.”
Furthermore, HM Treasury confirmed that all VAT on tickets would be waived, boosting the total donation to the Little Something fund.
George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer, said: “I am pleased to announce that the Government will be waiving the VAT on ticket sales for this sold out performance, with all proceeds being used to help continue the great work of Charlotte Morley and her team for so many vulnerable women in Devon.”
Charlotte Morley was a well-respected member of the Perinatal Mental Health Service across Devon and Torbay provided by Devon Partnership NHS Trust. She supported pregnant women and new mothers, their babies and families during these difficult times and she worked tirelessly to raise awareness of this issue and to de-stigmatise the condition.
The Little Something fund is managed by Devon Partnership NHS Trust - which provides mental health and learning disability services across Devon and the wider South West. The Perinatal Mental Health Service is dedicated to working with pregnant women and new mothers who are worried about their emotional or mental wellbeing. Women can experience mental health issues during and around pregnancy which can be worrying for both them and their extended family. The specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service, and others like it across the UK, have dedicated teams of professionals who help pregnant women and new mothers manage and improve their experience of early motherhood so that their illness impacts less on them and the bonding of their family unit.

A&B saved my life. After a decade in hell, my life came through for me, and A&B was the soundtrack for my recovery too. I'm glad that I was there, and in a small way was able to help others through their hells. Love finds it's way. Thanks guys.

+Miguel Angello Totally disagree with you, Miguel. But that's just my opinion. A&B of years ago really had a massive input on Trance. Nowadays, like many other artists - they've changed their style not only because of the time shift, but more to do with making £££ out of music which I totally respect and understand. For me, certainly now - the best thing they do for Trance is promote and hopefully bring new artists on their group therapy podcasts.
+ProgressiveTrance011 agree with you on that but in my opinion every single song they make just makes me want to dance, cry or feel some kind of emotion and that's what I love their music. I can't name a song I dislike from them.
+Miguel Angello There's a lot of songs that I disliked hence why I said 'Trance' as opposed to A&B #Trancefamily because that's what it feels like. When you're pulling away from that and listening to things such as big room, I feel that's different.
Didn't remember there was an aftermovie for this concert. Ended up crying after watching it. You guys have no idea how much you help with your music. You're not just a band, a group of producers or a group of djs, you became a light for too many people. And it's something you can feel everytime you go to a show, we're all friends just for a few hours. Thank you for existing, above and beyond. We can't wait for you guys to come back to Buenos Aires.

When I bought the new album in February, I just became a father. From the very beginning of our son's life, his mother and I listen to all sorts of music with him. He really loves it, especially when we sing "Little Something" to him while the three of us are dancing in the livingroom. We do that quite often, it really makes us enjoy the moments by itself and forget everything else. Thank you so much for that A&B, it means a lot to us! :)

I wasn't there, sadly.. This story is one of those many stories where you saved peoples lives, including me... I got bullied in school for over 2 years but every day on the bus, I listened to "Sun & Moon", "Blue Sky Action" and so on and on.. I dreamt back then of when you guys would ever come to Belgium for a show and this summer, something magical happend at Pukkelpop where I felt peace, love, unity & respect from all of those people around me in the crowd, when i got on stage hugging Jono & Tony and when I pushed that button.. Where I had a smile on my face for litteraly a whole hour and tears in my eyes of joy..
This story got me crying as soon the little girl came on stage, what a moving story.. really because it reminded me so much of my black period back then and how your music litteraly saved me..
You saved thousands of lives, not only with this campagne or supporting this project but along with your music
Thank you Jono, Tony & Paavo for everything and I hope to see you so again in Belgium..

Impossible for me to hear this song without breaking down in tears.. Im a single father who has been raising my child since 6 months old now 4 years old after her birth mother postpartum depression. Here in the United States they don't play that so the mothers rights were terminated after she failed getting help.

I love your music above and beyond I lost my mother the day after you guys played at the marquee in arizona best time of my life for sure got a call about halfway through the show from my sister saying mom might not make it thru tomorrow so right after the show went to the hospice where my mom passed peacefully holding my hand @ 5am after a 5 year battle of cancer I wish I could tell you guys in person what your music means to me times have been tough but with the help of your music I got through it so I personally thank you Tony,Paavo,Jono to help me get through the really tough times in life

I'll never forget going to the show in SF the night where AGBT made public that Jono had lost his sister. Every social update of mine that night was tagged #ForCharlotte, so it's so good to know I can actually channel my love into something that can do much more good now. Jono, we're always with you and thank you, Above & Beyond, for dedicating a sold-out Wembley show to her memory. These are truly the little moments that bring us all together. Once again - #ForCharlotte just as always sending an incredible amount of love from SF

The video was moving. Above and Beyond appear to be that rare thing in the so-called 'dance music' field - a production team who write intelligent, thoughtful lyrics.
On the subject of mental health problems in general, before we cure these we need to deal with what seems to attack the brain in the first place, and here are some sensible ideas:

I mean no disrespect to the Devon medical professionals in the film, but I doubt they’ve considered the ideas described in books like this. I also live in Devon, and I’ve talked to colleagues of theirs in Exeter who seem oblivious to the idea that brain disorders could have anything to do with diet. I’ve also discussed the issue with a respected neurologist, and even he seemed not to have looked into diet in any depth.
