I was lucky , no waffle skin.
      Survivor of HPV oral cancer
Back of the tongue & lymph nodes.
Chemo/radiation treatments for few months .
I tell ppl if I had to puck which one..I'd puck chemo. Cuz radiation hurts like sin
By the end of radiation treatment and few months after..it's hell.
My salivary glands are screwed..about 20 % working. It's manageable..but its better than the alternative
Other permanent side effects, again manageable ( most times )
      Its not easy

Om getting it on one vertebrae soon. Will it work once and for all? Will it harm my spinal cord. Will it come back same spot? I got 6 months remission so this radiotherapy is new for me. I hope it works and doesn't cause damage to my good cells.

How do you handle the claustrophobic feeling? I’m quite anxious that should I need radiation for either of my tumors (parotid and one in the neck), I would be very claustrophobic. I do not really want to be sedated every day.
