This is exactly what is missing in dance today. Romance. I get into so many arguments about this. Young choreographers are so full of ego and don't give themselves to the passion that engages an audience. There is no human connection or sexuality in dance anymore. This is stunning.
I've seen the Nutcracker performed by the Russian Ballet. The performance w/ beyond words. It ranks second to Reminiscin. Alicia's movements seamlessly merge beauty and dangerously uninhibited athleticism. She flows in lushness. Jamar elegantly settles her. This is beyond magical. It is a standard.
