    O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 I grew up listening to Country music…and making 8 track tapes of many of the Grand Ol Opry singers! I sure remember this song. What a unique song… for me, I loved it & hated it at the same time. It almost just talked about having a free relationship & not being committed to each other. But they sounded good together. They also seemed quite affectionate with each other as well! A good memory from my childhood. 🤩🥰✌️

    Unlike the majority of today’s singers, you can understand every single word they sing!

    What an adorable man! Scrumptious! I just discovered Jim Brown today. So I'm listening to these lovely duets as well. Jim does remind me of Jim Reeves. Same style. I think the Brown's are in perfect harmony. Such a classic act.❤❤❤

    I grew up with this "era" of Jim Ed Brown. He has a superb voice, very much in the smooth style of the great Jim Reeves. So, I am very familiar with his duets with Helen Cornelius, plus I also grew up with the wonderful earlier "Brown Trio" that Jim had with sisters Maxine and Bonnie. Recently I have seen a lot of the old Ozark Jubilee video from the mid 1950's and was surprised to see that Jim Ed also did many duets with his sister Maxine! Knowing how popular the Brown / Cornelius duets were and still are, I was truly stunned to discover that Jim Ed and sister Maxine were incredible as a duo! I'm now of the opinion that Maxine was Jim Ed's best duet partner! At any rate, regardless of my opinion, the old Ozark Jubilee videos are absolute treasures and well worth a watch. Some may agree with me about Maxine, and some may not after seeing Jim Ed and Maxine as a duo! Best wishes to all.

      Yeah, the label Classic Country has been around since the 79s and, in the 70s that was country music from earlier than, it’s era and, that’s how it always follow suit through the yrs, if it’s older than in current yrs it’s classic, good old simple common sense, duh! Now why wouldn’t you have thought of that?

    • @sonyafox3271
      @sonyafox3271 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ed not Jeb, they just sang together nothing more, people assumed that even though they were married they assumed they were having a affair, just like they assume about every duo out there! No,just like Lady Gaga said, sometimes you are acting out the character of the song, some people may do that some don’t but, if they do people don’t have the good common sense to realize, that isn’t how people in country music would act with a duet partner or play second fiddle with their spouses! People like to try to make more of what’s there Dolly and Kenny said the same thing but, the only thing between them was a friendship, Loretta said, the same exact thing about her and Conway, and, again, they both said, they just had become real good friends!
