The owl series of flies in an almost unlimited variation of colours and sizes are good in almost situation. From Rutland to the tiniest brook. Have even used them effectively with a sinking line in conjunction with a small attraction lure.
As Andrew said a favourite on Loch Leven when the “Curly Bums” were hatching out around the glooming, look for the gulls feeding on them and get in amongst them, a nice effort Lindsay keep them coming mate.
