If TSLA realized its fair market value today, the PE would be >200. I think it will stay undervalued for a quite a while, but when the next breakout happens, it will be sweet.

my 11.1 was not updating... I did not have the free trial, I stopped by Tesla for tire rotatation, and talked to the service guy. . . that afternoon I got 12.3.6 ... i'm having great fun with it.
12.4 might change "everything" except the stock price
I had 12.3.5 act upon the hand signal of an oncoming bicyclist, who was making a left turn in the middle of the intersection at a four-way stop when he had the right of way to turn left in front of me. I had been stopped, but a couple of seconds after he waved me to go ahead, FSD did just that. It was a jaw-dropping moment for me, no question.
It’s always the next version that’s really going to be the breakthrough. Every. Single. Time.

All that's left is little changes (the only exception I can think of is adding the ability to reverse)
9:28 all things being equal, more compute should just speeds up the training time. They could always train new data on an existing model. I believe they likely made an architectural change (to the workings of the transformer) that required a retrain. Imo 12.3, 12.4 , and 12.5 are likely different transformer architectures . Which Tesla can do more easily now that compute is not bottlenecked
My 12.3.6 doesn’t recognize speed changes around schools. Sometimes the signs have flashing lights while other times there are time zones on the signs. Also needs to be aware of weekends and when school is on vacation.
Better planning is a must.
Ability to recognize when I want to park in my garage in the alley at the back of the house or out front at the sidewalk.

Last night while driving my wife's model Y with FSD...it made a hard brake at a red light....scared the shit out of us.

2020 model S (and all l2019 and 2020 X/S) are HW3 but have the Intel processor (MCU2) which does not support the latest autopark features.

If you are doing a full training from scratch does it mean if you give all the training clips and labels to someone you can come up with a fsd system In 6 months ?

Auto-speed must have an upper limit. There are places it increases its "appropriate" speed by 15 MPH.
Would it be possible for Waymo and other services to EVER recognize hand signals, speed bumps, potholes, etc with the equipment and software that they have?
Just like you can pick parking spots. Could we get a lane preference selection button. Click the lane you want on the screen, and it will only move out that lane to follow GPS destination
you have that if you like: Select lane using turn signal. If it exits your preferred lane more often then you like , select " minimal lane changes" option

I want a more chill mode than chill. The 4-way stop has gone from a California stop to waiting for all clear and then counting to 3; sometimes, it is no longer clear by that time. V12.3.6
I’d like to hear about deployment with no driver. It seems complex and missing components even if driving is adequate. Questions about fleet management pick up and drop off complexity manual operation if needed accidents other unexpected stops.
I think with construction season starting combined with more FSD drivers we’ll see rapid progress with construction outliers.

Reverse only. And diagonal parking spots are not supported.

We continue to collect actual driving data, but I'm sure there are many drivers who are driving incorrectly. If we were to learn from the cobblestone video data as a model, the learning would not necessarily be perfect (for example, a driver who missed a traffic sign). Therefore, we expect that there will be some points where the learned results will be ambiguous. Is there a way to avoid this?
I have had my car do a panic stop and get stopped while the light is still yellow. Once, it was halfway across the intersection when it stopped, and the light was still yellow.
Tesla should give us a free trial on 12.4 .
What happens when FSD encounters a traffic light that is dead- no blinking light. I ran across that today in my ICE car. Wife was driving the Model Y but was not near this malfunctioning light.
it treated it correctly like a stop sign. (v11 many versions ago)
At that time it also treated a newly installed street light covered with a black bag because it was finished being installed, also like a stop sign) which it should/could of just ignored..
I am driving V12.3.6. The car should not recognize truck speed limit signs. My Model Y is not a truck. Sometimes, the car responds to speed limits that increase about half the time. Everyone else is going 65, and the car is doing 35 or 45, whatever the last town speed was. It seems different in different states. I noticed it more in Washington than in Oregon, Idaho, or California. I found a rabbit and a rock that were too tall to go under the car, but the car did not react to them. I thought the rock would be ok, but it was not. The car behind me change lanes to avoid it. I still have the rock.

I think that Vanish and Smart Summon might be minor or insignificant ChatGTP moments because there is totally driverless WayMo and Cruise videos available on the internet such the the nuanced differences between what FSD can do with these two new features will be lost on most people who are likely to view a Smart Summon video.
I think when FSD reaches Level 4 or 5 autonomy and people make videos of them sleeping, watching movies, playing video games, etc. in a car that anyone can actually buy and experience personally - that will be the FSD ChatGTP Moment!
I don't know, FSD 12.3.6 is pretty good but I need to see a very significant improvement in V12.4. And then again in V12.5. Just solving a few edge cases doesn't hack it.
Elon mode works as long as you keep your eyes moving mainly on the road, but a few extra seconds on the screen/control panel or at night, and the nags are back.
Herbert, can you interview the owner of the channel Black Tesla since he just posted a video exposing FSD Dead Zones. It looks legit and it would be nice to see you be more intellectually honest. With that said, I have been a diehard long since 2018.

So far FSD doesn't slow or stop for highway tolls, either. And it's still surprisingly spotty in the construction zones I've encountered.
Im sure AI is smart enough to solve that tiny problem!

Nags can't be removed as long Tesla call it supervised = L2. If nags are removed you can a watch movie, play games, do work on a laptop, you just have to be available and capable to take over when the car request you too = L3. When in L3 the insurance needs to be revised or Tesla needs to be take liability.
Not all nags. If it detects inattentive driver or there is an issue it will nag but if there are no issues and driver is not distracted it won’t nag
@@alexjeffs7092 Agreed, but that is what they discussed and if Actual Smart Summon is implemented it is a L4 feature, as the driver is not in a position to take over.

@@elvinthalund5193 summon would only be used in private parking lots not on highways so I don’t think it would be considered level 4 if it went on public roads the. It would need level 4 clearance

NHTSA rules does not apply in private parking lots, but the insurance won’t cover if the driver is not driving and the car has an accident.
I had a drunk coworker send me this crap and he don’t even own a Tesla or their stock!! So people actually get excited by Tesla giving their customers an inch every once in awhile?? Electric vehicles should be driven on a track not an actual road!!! My opinion!!
5-10 years in prison if a person deliberately directs a FSD car into an accident.
25+ years in prison if (the same) results in a death.
You may play with the numbers, but prison threats is how we as a society currently deal with peoples illicit behavior.

@@BongoWongoOG You can call whatever you want. I'm a huge advocate for FSD. I've had it since 2017 - in both my 2017 and 2022 Model S. Version 12 is fantastic. I use it every day and it handles almost every situation perfectly. But it DOESN'T stop for the gates in my community. Never has - and I don't know why. Sorry if I don't post hundreds of times about all the positives. Plenty of other people do and one more from me wouldn't make any difference. This is a real problem and it needs to be addressed.

I saw a big changes between 12.3.4 and 12.3.6. Many of the problems that I was experiencing were solved.
V15 will smash V12.3.6 so don’t worry about our investment.
