- After wanting to have a test run in the Pagani Huayra for a very long time I've been lucky enough to get behind the wheel at the factory in Italy and take one for a drive!
The over-riding observation is the insane amounts of torque from the twin-turbo V12 and how the car is so much more of a driver's machine than anticipated. With the hugely elegant interior, flaps that you see activating to adjust the aero on cornering and braking, and on-going turbo noises from behind your head, it's quite an experience!

The Pagani guy literally didn't give two hoots about anything after a while it was so funny watching him.
Mars Victor I guess when you drive one everyday you get used to how insane it is.
Mars Victor Haha, he drives them all day every day, and doesn't speak English much, I suppose I'm talking more to the camera than to him, but simultaneously being very careful with such a valuable car!

Shmee150 if you've seen footage of davide testi or luca venturi, they RIP these cars whenever, wherever. driven like they're stolen, even on cobbles. obviously they're trusted employees and if anything happens to the car on their watch, i'm sure they aren't paying like if was to happen to you, but i really think they don't care much about anything but driving. italian af.

So much passion goes into producing a Pagani, truly unique as car manufacturers go.

Top Gear had an episode with the similar question, they had the Alfa Romeo 8C as awnser.
Can Tavukçuoğlu A picture's worth a thousand words...and a Huayra has a thousand nm of torque. Art confirmed.
My argument is that art has to be useless other than to entertain and a car can take you places, no matter how beautiful it may be

For you it's right , for me it's wrong I'm in GB and your in some other country but who cares as long Shmee made an awesome video (coz he's the best!).
A Pagani is sooooo much more than performance numbers. Each car they produce is a fantastic work of art in its own right. Horacio Pagani sweats every detail of the car to be as beautiful and as perfect as possible, even if the owner will never see those parts. Reason being that Mr. Pagani knows those parts are there and he wants them to be perfect.
I adore Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, and to a lesser extent Lamborghini, but in comparison, their cars are mass-produced. Beautiful machines, no doubt. But still, they do take some shortcuts, and aren't *quite* as special.

I have a series car crush right now. The interior is a work of art as much the outer shell. It's very steam punk inside.
That color combo for the interior is perfect! That brown leather looks simply amazing. It must take the "new car smell" to a whole other level.

Also he is, of course, Italian, and therefore very "cool". I think an Italian will only get visibly excited when there is good food to be eaten and fabulous wine to drink! I love the Italian culture.

Congratulations Shmee! Yesterday I went to the Motorshow in Poznan, Poland and saw some amazing cars. It was my first time at a car show and wow... some cars are just so intimidating to look at in person, completely different from pictures and video. And the Huracan is sooo small in person, compared to video! I had an amazing time and it was so motivational! I hope you're gonna have a great trip Tim!

The only thing thats kind of sad is that most car enthusiasts will never experience what you just did. Obviously your name and status opens a lot of doors. No supercar fan EVER would be allowed to drive this car or to park at the factory and get such a special treatment. Same thing with the previous videos. If a german car enthusiast would ask ABT or Hamann to take a look at their cars and take them for a ride they would laugh and tell you to get the hell out. Or try to film at Fiorano. I been there and tried to look ever the fence and film a few bits. Security came right away and told me to leave the area... Dont get me wrong i am not hating or jealous or anything, its just something I noticed.

Shmee150 Woww sooo cool!!! Is it really that much quicker than the 650s though? Or is it really the experience with all the turbo noise and shift emotion ( ;) ) (and of course the fact that you're driving a Pagani) that makes it such an epic experience?
737.6 ft lbs is pretty impressive, Imagine when these hybrid hyper cars start pushing out 2000Nm or 1475 ft lbs. The Koenigsegg One:1 is getting there with 1011 lb ft of torque. Imagine if the One:1 and the Huayra were both hybrids with 1 to 4 electric motors driving anything from just the rear wheels to one motor PER wheel! Anyway, good video, the test driver seemed to want you to open up the Huayra a little more than you felt comfortable doing, but I'd be intimidated by that car too, even coming from a car like a 650s or a 458 Italia.

Single clutch automated manuals tend to be quite jerky on upshifts when you don't lift off the throttle.

Steering wheel seems a bit big, proportional but big. That exterior with the Zonda R interior would be nice :) Oh and the windscreen wiper, why does that have to be so far up the windows, there must be something that can be done about that.
