I loved his performance as Qui-Gon Jinn and later as Ra's Al Ghul, whenever he talks about Eastern philosophies (be it the Jedi's inspiration of Kung Fu/Buddhist Monks or Ninjas in Batman Begins) he makes it sound even cooler and really immerses you into that world and character.

      Jon M. A ton. Not the Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon stuff, though. I posted that comment two months ago, so I can kinda see what he means, but I still think Obi-Wan had a better bond with Anakin. Still, if like in the nerd vault video, a Qui-Gon Force ghost came to visit Vader, it would have a stronger effect than of Obi-Wan's did.
      Also, most of the books I read are during the GCW. For the PT (not a hater of it!) I've basically only read Jedi Quest.

      Obi wan had a brother like bond with Anakin but Qui gon had a father like bond. If it wasnt for hes death Anakin would of probably not turned to the dark side and unlike Obi Wan who is by the book kind of jedi who desnt like breaking the rules, Anakin would of easly trusted his secret love with padme to Qui gon and Qui gon would of guided him much better.

    The Jedi who laid the foundations for the philosophy that guided Luke to redeem his father. Indeed the two were alike in many ways (beyond lightsaber color). It's a shame they couldn't meet. I always thought it'd be cool to have a story set between 5 and 6 where Qui Gon shows Luke his father's past and helps him see that there's still good in him. Sounds a little fanfic-ish I'll admit but I think it'd be dope to see.

    Ah so this should be his theme IF we get an EA Star Wars Battlefront 3 game focused on prequel stuff only. I always thought this was more of an Obi-Wan theme since Kenobi has no set motif for a theme. The Star Wars theme if played slowly is more Luke than anything, Darth Maul is iconic and love the slower Duel of the Fates theme they used in Solo. Each Star Wars character is so epic and unique, they should ALL have their own themes.

    • @H_Hendo
      @H_Hendo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Late reply but I think Obi-Wan does have his own theme, that being the Force theme. Although it is frequently played throughout Star Wars and for Luke, you did rightly mention Luke's main theme is the Star Wars main theme. The Force theme plays when we first are introduced to Old Ben in episode 4, and the calm hopeful serenity of the theme perfectly matches his personality as an experienced Jedi master who - despite the terrible things he's endured - stays true to himself and has hope.
